Your Key Responsibilities As an International Tax Manager, you will:

Manage and participate in delivering international tax engagements.
Advise senior managers and assist in identifying new business opportunities.

Work with a team of International Tax professionals across the MENA region and globally to bring cross-border tax knowledge to various industries.
Collaborate with other service lines (e.g., Transfer Pricing, Transaction Tax, People Advisory Services) to manage engagements and engagement economics.
Coach and mentor junior team members, ensuring their development through delegation and on-the-job training.

Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven track record with a leading professional services firm.
Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Proficiency in Arabic.

Valuations Executive / Manager - Oil & Gas

About the Role

The Opportunity

Strategy & Transactions (SaT) is recruiting for a Valuations Executive / Manager to assist our MENA-based Oil and Gas clients in addressing their strategic planning, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and fair market value documentation needs. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring, and formal learning.

Your Key Responsibilities

Making technical contributions to valuation and modelling on client engagements and internal projects.
Working with large Oil and Gas clients to gain a thorough understanding of the subject businesses, markets, and client issues.
Conducting research and analysis of the target’s industry and quoted companies operating in the sector.
Handling day-to-day client queries and attending internal and external meetings related to the assignment.
Performing valuation calculations and analyses, drafting presentations and reports, formulating views on value, presenting conclusions to the team, and contributing to the client presentations.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Ability to deliver valuations on time and within budget.
Proactive in taking ownership of your career by seeking regular feedback and alerting yourself to learning and development opportunities.
Establish and develop strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, contributing to creating a positive learning culture within the team.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business.
At least 3 to 5 years of valuations work experience, preferably with Oil and Gas/Energy clients.
Experience with valuation projects for M&A, Purchase Price Allocations, Impairment Reviews, and Fair Valuations.
Strong financial modelling skills, including the ability to build models from scratch and review models for Energy businesses.
Experience in writing and owning reports and opinions for M&A and financial reporting valuations.
Proven track record in solving complex problems and delivering challenging projects.

You should also have:

A strong drive for growth and development.
Previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 firm.
Experience in a consulting environment.
Ability to work with large clients in a fast-paced environment.
Progress towards or achievement of CFA, CA, or another professional qualification.
