Summary:

At DSV, we are seeking experienced and dependable OTR (Over-The-Road) Open-Deck Truck Drivers to transport a wide range of freight, including oversized and irregularly shaped cargo. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the secure and timely delivery of customer shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate an open-deck tractor/trailer in full compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
Secure and transport diverse cargo types, ensuring correct loading, weight distribution, and tie-downs
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues
Plan efficient driving routes based on traffic and weather conditions
Comply with all Federal and State safety standards
Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and freight details in accordance with DOT regulations

Handle all shipment documentation including Bills of Lading, permits, and logbooks
Tarp and strap loads when required
