Data Management Specialist

Key responsibilities

 

1. Assist in implementing the data governance policies and frameworks to enhance data integrity, security, and compliance, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

2. Develop and maintain critical documentation, including SOPs, transformation logic, metadata management, and the business data glossary

3. Work closely with Technology to design, implement, and enhance data warehouses, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines, and analytics tools

4. Performs regular data quality assessments to identify data anomalies or issues, and collaborates with the Technology team to resolve them.

5. Collaborate with Technology to implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.

6. Implement data validation, cleansing, and anomaly detection processes in collaboration with Technology.

7. Support data management projects led in-house or in collaboration with third-party consultants or vendors, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

8. Oversee projects initiated by Technology in collaboration with Data Management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data strategies. 

9. Work with business units to gather data requirements and recommend improvements.

10. Work closely with Technology to refine and optimize data warehouses and integrated tools, ensuring data quality, governance, and seamless integration with business processes.

Oracle Database Administrator

 

VAM Systems is currently looking for Oracle DBA for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions:

Experience

· Should be able to troubleshoot and find solutions under pressure and ensure minimal data loss and interruptions.

Duties:

Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain application programs; devise and modify programs to resolve system or coding problems. 

Conceptualize, design, construct, test, and implement portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology. 

Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction. 

Define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects. Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user and information technology requirements. 

Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations. 

Participate in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. 

Understand and use appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and/or technical problems. Apply metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria. 

Prepare system documentation. Establish and maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents. 

Develop and execute test automation scripts where applicable to improve testing efficiency. 

Participate in post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and improve testing processes. 

Red hat Linux and OpenShift Administrator

 Responsibilities

 Manage / administer Redhat Linux 8 and 9 Server and have expertise to implement security best practices

 Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift environments

 Ensure high availability and reliability of the OpenShift platform

 Monitor and optimize OpenShift cluster performance

 Implement OpenShift security best practices within the cluster

 Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the OpenShift environment

 Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment

 Document procedures and provide training to team members

 Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery operations on OpenShift
