Knowledge Management Officer (E-Learning Content and Engagement) – Retainer

 The Knowledge Management Officer will carry out the following tasks:

Assist in conducting research and analysis on emerging trends in biodiversity, ecosystems, and sustainable development to inform the development of new course materials and content updates.

Assist in designing infographics, posters, and promotional materials to support the marketing of e-learning offerings and related initiatives.

Assist in the development of content strategies for the promotion and engagement of e-learning courses, ensuring alignment with target audiences and organizational objectives.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of educational content related to environmental sustainability topics.

Organize and manage virtual events, webinars, and workshops, including planning, technical support, and post-event reporting.

Maintain and update online learning platforms, ensuring smooth user experiences and troubleshooting any technical issues.

Coordinate translations and localization of e-learning materials and multimedia content with translators to ensure accessibility in various languages.

Support the development of interactive data visualizations for reporting on biodiversity, ecosystem health, and other sustainability metrics.

Create detailed documentation and guides for both users and team members, including tutorials on accessing, navigating, and engaging with e-learning platforms.

Monitor the effectiveness of e-learning courses, collecting and analyzing user feedback to improve course design and delivery.

Education

Advanced university degree (Master's degree) in Project Management, Business Administration, International Relations or other relevant discipline is a requirement.

Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or other relevant discipline will be considered with an additional two years of relevant experience. 

Experience

Minimum two (2) years relevant and progressive professional experience in the area of Climate Change Transparency. 

Prior work experience in the area of Climate Change transparency is required; 

Work experience with ICAT is a distinctive advantage; 

Work experience with capacity building in the area of climate change transparency is an added advantage; 

Knowledge of relevant UNOPS systems, policies and procedures is an added advantage; 

Experience in the usage of computers and MS Office. 

Technical Senior Analyst - Environmental (Clean Energy), Retainer

Functional Responsibilities:

Project Design

Technical and Coordination Support 

Support Private Sector Engagement 

Project Design and Portfolio Development

Support in drafting and refinement of Terms of References (TOR) for technical assistance projects, incorporating technical, financial/economic, and stakeholder input. This includes: 

Conducting research and analysis to inform TOR development. 

Identifying and engaging with relevant stakeholders (e.g. government agencies/ministries, private sector actors, civil society organizations, others) to gather input and ensure alignment. 

Coordinating with ETP’s country and regional coordinators to avoid duplication of effort and exploring synergies with existing or planned projects. 

Coordinating with ETP Program Management and Fund Management teams on finalizing the TOR. 

Participate in the evaluation of proposals to select project implementing partners or consultants. 

Support in building the PSA TAF project portfolio by scoping for emerging fields in the energy sector, identifying potential focus areas, understanding the needs, and assessing private sector interest. 

Technical and Coordination Support 

Provide technical and operational support to the implementing partners/consultants, as necessary. This may include linking them with stakeholders, strategizing on the conduct of activities, and reviewing project outputs.

Functional Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of Project Manager and in close collaboration with the Innovation Cell programme manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

In consultation with the project manager develop a plan for expanding Geoguard based on the needs of DPPA (notably the Climate, Peace and Security Unit) and partner UN entities. This plan should include timelines, resource allocation, coordination mechanisms with regional desks, field presences, and service providers, as well as specific steps for implementation. It should also include a sustainability and knowledge transfer plan of Geoguard.

User-Testing and Feedback Reports: Create regular reports documenting the user-testing process of project deliverables. These reports will be generated both in-person at workshops and virtually, based on feedback from stakeholders identified. 

Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: Support programme manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the progress and impact of the Geoguard expansion. This framework should include key performance indicators, monitoring schedules, and evaluation methodologies.

Project and Stakeholder Management Documentation: Provide regular updates and reports on project management aspects, including stakeholder engagement strategies, project milestones, challenges faced, and corrective actions taken.

Academic and Technical Partnerships: Engaging in the establishment and documentation of partnerships with academic and technical entities. These partnerships should focus on advanced modeling for environmental phenomena like dust storms and their implications for peace and security

دعم صياغة وتنقيح شروط المرجعية لمشاريع المساعدة الفنية، مع مراعاة المدخلات الفنية والمالية والاقتصادية ومدخلات أصحاب المصلحة. ويشمل ذلك: 

إجراء البحوث والتحليلات لإبلاغ تطوير TOR.

تقديم الدعم في بناء محفظة مشاريع PSA TAF من خلال تحديد المجالات الناشئة في قطاع الطاقة، وتحديد مجالات التركيز المحتملة، وفهم الاحتياجات، وتقييم اهتمام القطاع الخاص. 

الدعم الفني والتنسيقي

إطار الرصد والتقييم: دعم مدير البرنامج في تطوير وتنفيذ إطار شامل للرصد والتقييم لتقييم تقدم وتأثير توسعة جيوغارد. يجب أن يتضمن هذا الإطار مؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية، وجداول الرصد، ومنهجيات التقييم.
