الهدف:
الهدف الرئيسي لهذا المنصب هو العمل كأستاذ في كلية التمريض والقبالة. قد يُطلب من الأساتذة أن يعملوا كمنسقي وحدات أو مديري مستويات، بناءً على توجيه من رئيس الكلية. من المتوقع من شاغل المنصب أن يساهم في المبادرات التعليمية والبحثية داخل كلية التمريض والقبالة. قد يكون هناك إمكانية للتعيين في مستوى أستاذ مشارك للمترشحين الذين يستوفون معايير أستاذ مشارك.
الواجبات المحددة لهذا المنصب تشمل:
- تحمل المسؤولية عن التوجيه والتنسيق والتدريس والتقييم عبر الوحدات / البرامج المعينة (الوحدات النظرية والعملية).
- الإشراف على الطلاب ومراقبة تقييم الطلاب وتقدمهم.
- التعاون مع أعضاء هيئة التدريس في كلية التمريض والقبالة لتعزيز القدرة التعليمية والبحثية في الكلية.
- اعتماد نهج تعاوني في جميع جوانب الممارسة الأكاديمية.
- القيام بالبحث التعاوني داخلياً ومع الشركاء الخارجيين / المستشفيات الشريكة التي تكمل وتطور الوضع الأكاديمي والسمعة الأكاديمية للكلية، والمساهمة في ممارسة التمريض والتعليم.
- أداء المسؤوليات الإدارية بكفاءة والمشاركة في هياكل الحوكمة الجامعية كما يوجه رئيس كلية التمريض والقبالة.
- تحمل المسؤولية عن التخطيط وتقديم التعليم في المجالات الأكاديمية الأخرى كما يوجه رئيس كلية التمريض والقبالة.
- المشاركة في التفاعل المجتمعي وفقاً لاستراتيجية RCSI البحرين.
- الامتثال للتشريعات القانونية ومتطلبات القسم فيما يخص رفاهية وسلامة نفسك وموظفيك وطلابك.
- تمثيل مصلحة RCSI في جميع الأوقات من خلال تعزيز سمعة الكلية في ممارسة التمريض والتعليم والبحث.
- القيام بالمهام الخارجية إلى RCSI / البحرين كما قد يُطلب من وقت لآخر.
- أداء أي مهام أخرى قد تكون مطلوبة من وقت لآخر.

المواصفات الشخصية: أساسي:
- مسجل كممرض بالغ وتعليم على مستوى الماجستير.
- لديه خبرة سابقة في التدريس والتقييم وإدارة الطلاب في بيئة أكاديمية.
- لديه سجل في البحث في مجال التمريض / خدمات الصحة كما يتضح من المنشورات في هذا المجال.
- خبرة وتمرس في التمريض البالغ، البحث، الممارسة المبنية على الأدلة في التمريض والتعليم الصحي.
- يمتلك مهارات ممتازة في استخدام الكمبيوتر، البحث في المكتبات، العروض التقديمية، مهارات التواصل الشفوية والكتابية.
- لديه طاقة وحافز شخصي قوي لتحقيق نتائج متميزة.
- يلتزم بتحسين الجودة.

Reporting To: Head of School of Nursing & Midwifery or nominee
Objective:
The principal objective of this post is to act as a Lecturer in the School of Nursing & Midwifery. Lecturers may be required to act as Module Coordinators/Level Directors, as directed by the Head of School. The post holder is expected to contribute to education and research initiatives within the School of Nursing & Midwifery. An appointment at senior lecturer level may be available for candidates who meet the Senior Lecturer criteria.
Specifically, the duties of this post will include:
- Take responsibility for directing, coordinating, teaching, and assessing across assigned modules/programmes (theoretical and practice modules).
- Mentor students and monitor student assessment and progress.
- Engage with academic staff of the School of Nursing & Midwifery to enhance education and research capacity within the School.
- Employ a collaborative ethos in all aspects of academic practice.
- Undertake collaborative research internally and with external stakeholders/partner hospitals that complements and develops the School's academic status and reputation, and contributes to nursing practice and education.
- Competently discharge administrative responsibilities and participate in university governance structures as directed by the Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery.
- Assume responsibility for the planning and delivery of education in other academic areas as assigned by the Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery.
- Participate in Community Engagement in accordance with the RCSI Bahrain Strategy.
- Comply with statutory legislation and department rules and requirements in furtherance of your own, staff, and student's welfare and safety.
- Represent the best interest of RCSI at all times by enhancing the School's reputation in both nursing practice, teaching, and research.
- Undertake assignments external to RCSI/Bahrain as may be required from time to time.
- Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time.
Requirements
Person Specification: Essential
- Registered as an Adult Nurse and educated to Master's Level.
- Previous experience in teaching, assessing, and managing students in an academic environment.
- Developing a track record in nursing/health services research as evidenced by publications in the area.
- Expertise and experience in adult nursing, research, evidence-based practice in nursing and healthcare teaching.
- Excellent computer, library searching, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Personal drive, energy, and enthusiasm to deliver and inspire the achievement of excellent results.
- Strong commitment to quality improvement.
- High degree of self-motivation.
- Requires minimum direction, high personal energy, and a positive approach to dealing with challenges and ambiguity.
- Flexibility in work arrangements, including undertaking overseas assignments as required.
Person Specification: Desirable
- Experience in being a year, module, or subject lead or director.
- A recognized specialist nursing qualification that complements the portfolio of programmes delivered in the School.
- Educated to Doctoral level.
- Experience in supervision of MSc and Doctoral level students.
- Contributed to the development of specialist nursing practice in terms of education, practice development, and research.
- Mentoring and supervising colleagues in Lecturer and Clinical Educator positions.
