Penta Consulting supports technology resource solutions across EMEA. We're currently a trusted international telecommunications service provider. We are looking for a PS Core Engineer to work fully remote.
Objective of the Position:
- To efficiently operate the network
- To maintain the network in good health
- To guide operational strategies affecting the network
Technical Abilities:
- Expert understanding of Ethernet technology
- Experience in Linux operating system
- Must be able to design and maintain carrier networks
- Must be able to configure and troubleshoot mobile services
Core Engineer
Technical Experience:
- Expertise in Mobile, Fixed, and Single Voice Core Networks
- Analytical approach to diagnosing and resolving core network problems
- Experience working in a fixed/mobile convergence environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of switches used in the network
- Understanding of compliance with health and safety procedures
- Good time management skills
- Knowledge of the switches used in the mobile network
- Knowledge of Switching Networks (MSC, HSS, MGW, AUC/HLR, BSC, 2G/3G/LTE RAN - Node B / RNCsf)
- Knowledge of Switching Networks (SoftX3000, UA5000, MSAN, UMG8900, SG7000, SBC2600, IGwB, Management systems)
Technical Consultant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Technical Consultant or similar role, with a focus on VMware Horizon and WorkspaceONE
- Strong knowledge of VMware Horizon, WorkspaceONE, and related technologies
- Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and endpoint management
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DTM, VCAP-DTM) are a plus
