Senior Roads Inspector

What You’ll Be Doing

The Sr. Roads Inspector reports directly to the respective Resident Engineer and is responsible for assuring that the Contractor constructs the project safely, properly and completely providing, at a minimum, the specified level of quality in form and function.

Responsible for assuring that the Contractor adheres to approved plans and specifications, contract-imposed administrative and operational requirements and applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the site earthwork, underground utilities, site concrete, roadwork and pavements, site features and small support structures, landscaping and related civil work. 

Coordinates with the Contractor to verify that adequate, trained resources are available, that the right materials are used and that the proper processes are implemented during construction. 

Documents the fulfillment of the tasks accomplished and provide to the Resident Engineer any other documentation, such as reports of nonconforming work. 

 What Required Skills You’ll Bring

Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 12 years' experience performing similar inspection tasks in the respective discipline or area of expertise on major roads, bridges, infrastructure projects.

Must be physically capable to work in the field, including able to walk extended distances, climb to view/access points, wear all essential safety gear, stay on feet for extended period.

Must possess the ability to read working drawings and related specifications and capable of enforcing such specifications.

Computer literacy and excellent communications skills are essential.

Infrastructure Engineer

What You'll Be Doing

Reviewing the inspector’s daily reports.

Preparing the engineer’s daily diary.

Providing general oversight of the Discipline engineers’ and inspectors’ daily activities, including work assignments, on-site performance, and guidance on the supervision of the contractor’s operations.

Reviewing the contractor’s inspection, surveying, and testing requests and subsequent completed reports.

Reviewing and recommending for approval to the RE the contractor’s shop drawings as delegated by the RE.

Monitoring the performance of the survey party.

Reviewing and recommending for approval to the RE contractor’s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the RE. 

Preparing meeting minutes as delegated by the RE.

Coordinating with the contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work.

Monitoring conformance with the contractor’s schedule.

Conducting continual field inspections of the work in progress and consulting with both the engineer’s and contractor’s supervisory staff.

Preparing written and oral reports to the RE on contractual and procedural matters.

Reviewing as-built drawings in coordination with inspectors and surveyors.

Keeping the RE informed of work progress and problems.

Working effectively by knowing construction methods and inspection techniques.

Keeping complete and accurate records of the work and quantities completed.

ماذا ستفعل

يقدم مفتش الطرق الرئيسي تقاريره مباشرة إلى المهندس المقيم المختص وهو مسؤول عن التأكد من أن المقاول يقوم ببناء المشروع بأمان وبشكل صحيح وكامل مع توفير الحد الأدنى من المستوى المحدد للجودة في الشكل والوظيفة.

المسؤول عن التأكد من أن المقاول يلتزم بالخطط والمواصفات المعتمدة والمتطلبات الإدارية والتشغيلية المفروضة بموجب العقد والقوانين واللوائح المعمول بها فيما يتعلق بأعمال الحفر في الموقع والمرافق تحت الأرض والخرسانة في الموقع وأعمال الطرق والأرصفة وميزات الموقع وهياكل الدعم الصغيرة والمناظر الطبيعية والأعمال المدنية ذات الصلة. 

ينسق مع المقاول للتأكد من توفر الموارد الكافية والمدربة، واستخدام المواد المناسبة، وتنفيذ العمليات المناسبة أثناء البناء. 

توثيق إنجاز المهام المنجزة وتقديم أي مستندات أخرى إلى المهندس المقيم، مثل تقارير الأعمال غير المطابقة. 

 ما هي المهارات المطلوبة التي ستجلبها

درجة / دبلوم في الهندسة المدنية مع خبرة لا تقل عن 12 عامًا في أداء مهام تفتيش مماثلة في التخصص أو مجال الخبرة المعني في الطرق الرئيسية والجسور ومشاريع البنية التحتية.

يجب أن يكون قادرًا جسديًا على العمل في الميدان، بما في ذلك القدرة على المشي لمسافات طويلة، والتسلق إلى نقاط المشاهدة/الوصول، وارتداء جميع معدات السلامة الأساسية، والبقاء على القدمين لفترة طويلة.

يجب أن يكون لديه القدرة على قراءة الرسومات التنفيذية والمواصفات ذات الصلة ويكون قادرًا على تنفيذ هذه المواصفات.

مراقبة أداء فريق المسح.

مراجعة المواد والأساليب المقترحة من قبل المقاول البيئي والتوصية بالموافقة عليها حسب تفويض من المقاول البيئي. 

إعداد محاضر الاجتماعات حسب تفويض من الرئيس التنفيذي.

التنسيق مع طاقم الإشراف لدى المقاول فيما يتعلق بالجدول الزمني والتسلسل وطريقة العمل.

مراقبة التوافق مع جدول المقاول.

إجراء عمليات تفتيش ميدانية مستمرة على الأعمال الجارية والتشاور مع طاقم الإشراف لكل من المهندس والمقاول.

إعداد التقارير الكتابية والشفوية إلى السلطة التنفيذية بشأن المسائل التعاقدية والإجرائية.

مراجعة الرسومات التنفيذية بالتنسيق مع المفتشين والمساحين.

إبقاء RE على اطلاع بتقدم العمل والمشاكل.

العمل بشكل فعال من خلال معرفة أساليب البناء وتقنيات التفتيش.

حفظ سجلات كاملة ودقيقة للعمل والكميات المنجزة.
