Senior Software Engineer, Runtime Interpreter (Scheme/Rust) - Kong Inc.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement a Rust-based interpreter for a Scheme-based DSL.
• Develop developer experience tools (interactive playgrounds, documentation, AI-assisted code generation).
• Troubleshoot bugs, tune performance, and apply low-level optimizations to the interpreter.
• Collaborate with a world-class distributed engineering team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of programming experience with demonstrated Rust expertise.
• Experience in Scheme dialect design and interpreter implementation, preferably in Rust.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems troubleshooting and performance profiling.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, distributed team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as engineers at Kong document their products.

المؤهلات المطلوبة:
