Automotive Technician

Key Responsibilities

Job Card Review & Task Execution

• To review job cards issued to you and complete all the listed tasks that are within your capabilities.
• To only carry out the schedule of work listed on the job card, unless requested to do so by the management.

Manufacturer Guidelines & Safety Compliance

• To
  observe the manufacturers' guidelines when working on vehicles and seek assistance or guidance where necessary.
• To be aware of the allotted times allocated for the scheduled work on your job cards and to work within them at all times.
• To use the provided workshop tools and workshop equipment in accordance with their operating instructions and in a safe manner at all times.
• To make correct use of any Personal Protective Equipment provided to you and advise colleagues that may be working near you
  of any requirement for them to do so too.

Warranty & Documentation

• To follow the manufacturers' guidelines and provide or print out supporting documentation for any warranty claims or reports that are to be archived in the vehicle history files.

Service Advisor Coordination

• To advise the service advisor if you see any additional work that needs to be carried out and highlight any safety concerns.
• To assist in estimating the labour hours, parts, oils, and miscellaneous charges required to complete a repair and assist the
  service advisor in preparing accurate and competitive repair estimates.
• To liaise with the service advisor and ensure that any parts required for a vehicle are approved and ordered as early as possible in the repair process.

Parts Handling & Storage

• To label and store any parts that have been temporarily removed from vehicles safely and in a secure location.
• To correctly tag any faulty parts that have been removed from a vehicle and replaced on warranty, and to place them in the warranty parts
  storage area.

Quality Control & Teamwork

• To ensure in conjunction with the workshop supervisor/manager that any repairs you have carried out have been completed successfully and are of a suitable standard to achieve a first-time fix.
• To assist and support your colleagues when requested both physically and technically.
• To ensure the workshop and related areas are kept clean, tidy, and organized always.
• To use all consumable items in the correct manner and ensure their efficient use.

Vehicle Testing & Road Safety

• If you are authorized to test
  vehicles on the highway, to do so in a safe and responsible manner whilst observing the rules and regulations of the road and driving within your abilities and according to the road and weather conditions.

Other Duties

• To carry out any other reasonable task or activity as requested by management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technician with a premium brand.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree will be a plus.
• GCC driver’s license is a requirement.
• Fair understanding of English as all documentation and training will be in English.

مراجعة بطاقات العمل وتنفيذ المهام

• مراجعة بطاقات العمل الصادرة لك وإكمال جميع المهام المدرجة التي تقع ضمن قدراتك.
• تنفيذ الجدول الزمني للعمل المدرج في بطاقة العمل فقط، ما لم تطلب الإدارة غير ذلك.

إرشادات الشركة المصنعة والامتثال للسلامة

• اتباع إرشادات الشركة المصنعة عند العمل على المركبات وطلب المساعدة أو التوجيه عند الضرورة.
• معرفة الأوقات المخصصة للعمل المجدول في بطاقات العمل الخاصة بك والالتزام بها في جميع الأوقات.
• استخدام الأدوات والمعدات المقدمة في الورشة وفقًا لتعليمات التشغيل وبطريقة آمنة في جميع الأوقات.
• الاستخدام الصحيح لمعدات
  الحماية الشخصية المقدمة لك وتنبيه الزملاء القريبين منك إلى أي متطلبات مماثلة.

الضمان والتوثيق

• اتباع إرشادات الشركة المصنعة وتوفير أو طباعة الوثائق الداعمة لأي مطالبات ضمان أو تقارير ليتم أرشفتها في ملفات تاريخ المركبة.

التنسيق مع مستشار الخدمة

• إبلاغ مستشار الخدمة في حالة ملاحظة أي أعمال إضافية يجب تنفيذها والإشارة إلى أي مخاوف تتعلق بالسلامة.
• المساعدة في تقدير ساعات العمل والقطع والزيوت والتكاليف الإضافية المطلوبة لإكمال الإصلاح، ودعم مستشار الخدمة في إعداد تقديرات دقيقة ومنافسة للإصلاح.
• التنسيق مع مستشار الخدمة لضمان الموافقة على أي قطع غيار
  مطلوبة للمركبة وطلبها في أقرب وقت ممكن أثناء عملية الإصلاح.

التعامل مع القطع وتخزينها

• تصنيف وتخزين أي أجزاء تمت إزالتها مؤقتًا من المركبات بطريقة آمنة وفي موقع آمن.
• وضع العلامات الصحيحة على أي قطع تالفة تمت إزالتها من المركبة واستبدالها تحت الضمان، ووضعها في منطقة تخزين قطع الضمان.

مراقبة الجودة والعمل الجماعي

• التأكد، بالتنسيق مع مشرف الورشة أو المدير، من أن أي إصلاحات تم تنفيذها قد اكتملت بنجاح وبجودة مناسبة لتحقيق إصلاح ناجح من المرة الأولى.
• تقديم الدعم والمساعدة للزملاء عند الطلب، سواء بشكل مادي أو
  فني.
• الحفاظ على نظافة الورشة والمناطق ذات الصلة وتنظيمها دائمًا.
• استخدام جميع المواد الاستهلاكية بالطريقة الصحيحة وضمان استخدامها بكفاءة.

اختبار المركبات وسلامة الطرق

• في حالة التصريح لك باختبار المركبات على الطريق السريع، يجب القيام بذلك بطريقة آمنة ومسؤولة مع مراعاة قواعد وأنظمة المرور والقيادة وفقًا لقدراتك وظروف الطريق والطقس.

مهام أخرى

• تنفيذ أي مهام أو أنشطة معقولة أخرى تطلبها الإدارة.

المتطلبات

• خبرة لا تقل عن 3 سنوات كفني مع علامة تجارية متميزة.
• يفضل الحصول على دبلوم أو درجة البكالوريوس.
• مطلوب رخصة قيادة خليجية.
• معرفة جيدة باللغة الإنجليزية، حيث ستكون جميع الوثائق
  والتدريبات باللغة الإنجليزية.
