- GAC Bahrain is seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Drivers to join our team. If you hold a valid Bahrain license for trailers, six-wheel, and light vehicles, and have a proven record of safely operating heavy-duty vehicles, we encourage you to apply. Please note that a test drive will be part of the selection process.
Job requirements
- Valid Driving Licenses: Must possess valid driving licenses for trailers, six-wheel, and light vehicles in Bahrain.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a heavy vehicle driver, with a strong safety record in heavy-duty vehicle operations.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Solid understanding of traffic laws, regulations, and vehicle operation standards.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance, including routine inspections, to ensure the vehicle's safety and roadworthiness.
- Organisational Skills: Including the ability to manage time effectively and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Communication and Customer Service: Good communication skills, including the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work different shifts and schedules as needed to meet operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Driving License: A valid Bahrain driving license for trailers and six-wheel vehicles is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in driving heavy vehicles, with a proven safety record.
- Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge: Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols, including the ability to identify and address minor mechanical issues.
- Additional Certifications: Certification in defensive driving or similar qualifications is a plus and will be considered favorably.
