Position Overview:
We invite researchers and scientists to join us as Guest Topical Issue Editors for the journal, The Open Anesthesia Journal, to contribute to a research area (section) most relevant to their field of expertise.
Candidates for the Guest Topical Issue Editor position should have a proven track record of scholarly publishing and organizing Topical Issues. They should be able to assemble a collection of high-quality research/review articles related to their section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing a comprehensive proposal for a special issue, highlighting its importance and detailing prospective contributors.
- Collaborating with possible co-editors to effectively organize the special issue and coordinate with authors, ensuring a smooth editorial process.
- Inviting contributors from diverse regions, focusing on those with a proven publication record.
- Promoting the special issue to enhance its visibility and impact.
The Article Processing Charges (APC) are offered with a discount to facilitate Open Access publishing by the authors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D. in related fields
- A valid Scopus ID.
- Prior experience in publishing guest-edited thematic issues in peer-reviewed journals.
- A list of scholarly authors who can consent to contribute research/review articles in the thematic issue(s) proposed by the Topical Issue.
- Strong networks within the research community.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with scientific publication and peer review processes.

We are seeking experienced researchers and scientists to join us as Editorial Board Members for the journal, The Open COVID Journal.
About the Role:
Actively contribute to the development and growth of the journal by providing valuable scholarly input, including the selection of topics, reviewers, and authors.
Contribute/solicit Special Thematic Issues on a trending topic (one thematic issue every year) or submit review articles to the journal (at least twice a year) in your area of expertise.
Requirements:
- Scientist or researcher (PhD) with experience in Virology, Infectious Diseases, research on Coronaviruses & COVID–19 pandemic, and related subject areas.
- At least 5 years of experience in peer-reviewing, editing, and writing research papers.
- Verifiable record of publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in WOS Core Collection and/or Scopus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and timely with stakeholders in the English language.
