Chief Technology Officer - Crypto Trading

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute AlgoQuant’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and maintaining a competitive edge in trading and research.
• Enterprise Technology & Infrastructure: Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology infrastructure supporting all business aspects.
• Trading Infrastructure & Exchange Connectivity: Ensure low-latency connectivity to global crypto exchanges, optimizing execution algorithms, and maintaining seamless integration across venues.
• Post-Trade Systems: Lead the implementation and enhancement of post-trade systems for accurate reconciliation, risk management, and reporting.
• Data Engineering & Research Infrastructure: Develop state-of-the-art data platforms that enable quantitative researchers and AI/ML teams to rapidly iterate, analyze, and deploy strategies.

Who We Are Looking For: We consider two types of candidates:

1. Experienced Crypto Portfolio Managers:
   • 1.5+ years of successful experience in crypto markets with demonstrable returns.
   • Currently managing a strong portfolio but seeking better infrastructure, capital, and financial terms.
2. Traditional Finance (TradFi) Portfolio Managers:
   • Strong track record in traditional finance markets with impressive risk-adjusted returns.
   • Limited or no exposure to crypto markets but interested in transitioning into the space.
   • High-performing sub-PMs in a successful trading desk looking to take on leadership in independent research and portfolio construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage high-performing algorithmic trading strategies.
• Conduct independent research using big data and market microstructure data to identify trading signals.
