II. POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer will handle site safety, plant maintenance, and operations, including all supportive activities such as site work supervision, contractor follow-ups, spare part purchasing, and technical reporting. The Electrical Engineer will report directly to the Plant Manager and collaborate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve the goal of operating the MECD plant with zero incidents at the highest reliability and productivity.

The MECD plant is a $10 million asset with an annual maintenance budget of approximately $100,000.
IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Communicate and report with integrity, ethically, and transparently to the in-line manager.
- Work collaboratively with the O&M team.
- Understand all relevant EH&SQ regulations and support compliance planning.
- Take an active role in all site safety programs and administer safety protocols.
- Provide safety induction training for visitors/contractors when needed.
- Report and eliminate potential hazards using the Air Products Basic Safety Practice (BSP) system.
- Participate in site and operations safety meetings.
- Operate the carbon dioxide plant per procedures and parameters.
- Maintain log sheets and daily reports.
- Monitor plant water treatment and Carboscan performance.
- Handle CO2 Plant operations with a junior operator’s support.
- Ensure proper storage of spare parts as per manufacturer instructions.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
- Ensure site security and liaise with BAPCO as needed.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and housekeeping standards.
- Monitor cost control measures.
- Record operational data, messages, unusual events, and spare usage in the plant logbook.
- Coordinate plant conditions, work instructions, and existing work permits.
- Collect and verify production data and resolve discrepancies.
- Assign personnel or contractors to required work tasks.
- Start, stop, and isolate equipment and unit processes as necessary.
- Be familiar with on-site modifications per plant/customer requirements.
- Maintain safety and operations control during plant shutdowns.
- Support maintenance team activities.
- Align with the yearly site operation and maintenance budget.
- Provide technical, operational, and troubleshooting assistance.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed to required standards.
- Supervise minor projects and spare control via SAP.
- Continuously improve PM activities and report findings.
- Respond to critical alarms and maintain product supply.
- Provide operational team coverage when necessary.
- Update operations SOPs as needed.
- Handle electrical instrumentation, automation, and power maintenance.
- Manage plant maintenance, PM activities, corrective tasks, and troubleshooting.
- Prepare plant trip reports, investigation reports, and improvement studies.
- Supervise electrical work execution and spare parts procurement.
- Ensure plant operations remain continuous and compliant with company standards.
- Observe safe working practices and maintain harmonious relations with BAPCO, customers, Air Products personnel, and suppliers.
- Support regional maintenance coordination across small- to medium-sized plants.
- Maintain plant maintenance procedures and operational parameters.
- Follow all Air Products policies and standards.
- Understand and execute tanker filling processes in limited special conditions.
V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Automation/Instrumentation).
- Minimum two years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Experience in a multi-team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
- Commitment to the code of conduct and ethics.
VI. ORGANIZATION CHART
Reports directly to the Plant Manager and works with a team of six O&M personnel.

- درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة (الكهربائية/الأتمتة/الأجهزة).
- خبرة لا تقل عن سنتين في مجال الصيانة الكهربائية.
- مهارات ممتازة في التواصل والتنسيق.
- إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية الشفوية والكتابية.
- خبرة في العمل ضمن بيئة متعددة الفرق.
- القدرة على العمل في بيئة تنظيمية معقدة.
