Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced GL Accountant to support the group reporting function at Calo. The role will involve managing group accounting transactions and providing consolidated reports, ensuring alignment with business processes, procedures, and relevant Financial Reporting Standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledgers of the company, including subsidiaries, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and ledger analysis.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data.
- Support the month-end close process, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist in financial reporting activities, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies.

Main Responsibilities
- Monitor kitchen equipment and report any issues to superiors.
- Continually develop culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals.

Role Overview
The Treasury Operation function is crucial for managing the company’s financial resources, ensuring liquidity, and optimizing cash flow. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial health, supporting growth initiatives, and ensuring that the company meets its financial obligations.
As a Treasury Accountant, you will be a key team member, supporting day-to-day banking operations, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end activities at the group level.
Main Responsibilities
- Review all invoices related to Accounts Payable to ensure compliance with internal processes.

Role Overview
As a Junior Sous Chef in the Calo Kitchen, you will work alongside the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staff, assisting with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring inventory and stock levels. Your culinary expertise and management skills will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of junior pastry chefs, bakers, and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and creative work environment.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with local health regulations.
Quality Control & Consistency
- Ensure the highest quality and consistency in all pastry products, with exceptional attention to flavor and presentation.
- Regularly review production methods to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
- Conduct tasting sessions and adjust recipes as needed.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Manage inventory levels for pastry ingredients and supplies, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
- Monitor and control food costs, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
Operations & Planning
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth delivery and timing of pastry items.
- Plan and execute special orders, including events, private dining, and seasonal offerings.
- Develop production schedules and delegate tasks to ensure timely service delivery.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with 5-8 years of experience in a high-end or fine-dining establishment.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a pastry team.

As a New Product Development (NPD) Chef at Calo, you will play a key role in long-term food product development that aligns with our organizational goals. Your focus will be on creating new products and expanding existing product lines. You will collaborate closely with the R&D team to develop, test, and refine recipes.
Main Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Manage new product development projects by researching consumer markets and developing new product concepts and prototypes.
- Brainstorm ideas for new products or modifications/add-ons to existing products.
- Analyze and evaluate trial results, making necessary adjustments to ingredients, formulations, processes, and equipment before full-scale production.
- Prepare and manage product samples when requested.
- Ensure each product is developed with full insight into shelf life, allergens, ingredient costs, and production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure that all R&D equipment is handled and maintained properly.
- Foster effective team relationships within the department.
- Adhere to Calo's Health, Safety & Hygiene policies.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CDP or Sous Chef.
- Ability to initiate, plan, and execute new product development projects.
- Experience in following recipes and formulations to create and evaluate product samples.
- Familiarity with multiple cuisines or fusion cuisine is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
