The Ideal Candidate:
- Holder of a professional qualification– CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA
- Technical and practical knowledge of IFRS
- 6-10 years of post-qualification experience with a Big 4 Audit firm predominantly working on SME clients
Responsibilities:
- Planning, leading, managing, and supervising the execution of external audit engagements for Middle Market sector (SME, Owner Managed Business) clients within agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Performing complex fieldwork on assigned clients, assisting with setting budgets, pricing, scheduling audits, selecting staff, assigning workloads, developing audit strategy, reviewing audit evidence, all within the KPMG Audit Methodology, and using technology tools.
- Identifying and reporting on assurance-related engagements, as per agreed-upon procedures and examination of selected financial information.
- Establishing client relationships, anticipating client needs, responding to their queries, being alert to both commercial concerns and technical accuracy, and referring upwards if necessary.
- Complying with regulatory requirements by completing sign-off and checklist procedures applicable to the local jurisdiction.
- Reporting to audit partners/directors on all salient points arising from audits.
- Working with other managers to help ensure proper deployment of audit staff.
- Identifying and highlighting staff with a high professional level, solving staff problems, managing their performance, and finding means to retain them within the firm.
- Setting objectives (goal setting) with the audit team, providing support and coaching for more junior staff, and giving them feedback on their performance.
- Cross-selling KPMG’s services to existing and new clients.

المسؤوليات:
- التخطيط، القيادة، الإدارة، والإشراف على تنفيذ عمليات التدقيق الخارجي لعملاء قطاع السوق المتوسط (الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة، والأعمال المملوكة للمالك) ضمن الميزانيات والمواعيد النهائية المتفق عليها.

Become a Key Player in IT Audit with KPMG Bahrain

Primary Role
Manages IT AUDIT involvement in multiple Audit engagements. Tracks and communicates progress, issues, and observations on a timely basis. Ensures quality & consistent documentation by team members as per agreed IT AUDIT templates and working papers. Handles engagements independently with minimal involvement or follow-up from seniors. Supports SoQM implementation and annual assessment of the Firm's IT controls under the System of Quality Management. Supports in reviews for 2LoD projects specifically relating to the topic of IT AUDIT.
Job Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients (external audit) and deliver IT audit services to this portfolio on time, budget, and quality.
- Ensure quality & consistent documentation by team members as per agreed IT Audit templates and working papers.
- Ensure effective engagement management by achieving the required realization, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Support SoQM implementation and annual assessment of the Firm's IT controls under the System of Quality Management.
- Participate in the day-to-day management of the team on engagements including coaching, providing constructive feedback, and performance development.
- Provide technical knowledge, coaching, and training to junior team members.
The Individual
- Holder of a professional qualification– CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA.
- CISA Certified.
- 6+ years of post-qualification experience working within Big 4 professional services or a dynamic IT audit environment.
- Experience in identifying and assessing complex IT risks and controls, relating them to the wider business environment, and expressing opinions clearly to all levels.
- Experience in IT General Controls (ITGC) and auditing application controls for a range of business processes.
