↔Quality Lead
Role Overview:
As a Quality Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality at the factory level, driving the achievement of quality targets, and managing key aspects of quality control and improvement. You will oversee a team and are responsible for the people, machinery, and processes to identify and eliminate quality losses and issues in the department. You will report directly to the Plant Manager with a dotted line responsibility to Corporate Quality. This role demands a strong leader who can align local operations with global quality standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all quality objectives, goals, and targets (including regional and global commitments) are consistently met within the factory.
- Develop and track departmental budgets, identifying areas for cost reduction and eliminating losses.
- Lead your team through regular Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) assessments to set targets, execute plans, and check progress periodically, ensuring alignment with goals.
- Ensure strict adherence to all laws, food safety quality standards, and consumer requirements for all manufactured products.
- Manage crisis situations internally and externally in alignment with company policies, business objectives, and corporate image.
- Oversee recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure adequate resources are available to meet plant objectives.
- Set and assess performance goals for team members, coaching and mentoring them to develop their capabilities and ensure team success.
- Coordinate departmental activities in accordance with corporate standards, local requirements, and ISO standards.
What You Will Bring:
- Relevant experience in operations, quality control, or R&D, with strong leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) deep knowledge and experience as a QM Pillar leader, with IL6S phase 4 experience being a plus.
- Ability to manage a multicultural environment, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- In-depth understanding of commercial strategy processes, product/package development, food safety, and plant commercialization.
- Knowledge of CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Validation) processes and IIM (Integrated Infrastructure Management) requirements is a must.
- Experience in statistical processes and problem-solving techniques to drive quality improvements and operational excellence.
