Job Purpose:
As a Service Technician at Gates Corporation, you will work independently under the guidance of the Operations Lead/Supervisor and report directly to the supervisor. You will perform essential repairs and services on a variety of hydraulic and pneumatic components, ensuring the successful completion of daily tasks in workshops, vessels, drilling rigs, and customer locations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Perform high-level repair and service jobs in workshops, vessels, and drilling rigs under supervisor guidance.
- Overhaul and test hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, HPU, actuators, and other hydraulic/pneumatic components.
- Carry out crane, steering gear systems, and mooring winch system refurbishments, testing, and repairs at shipyards and offshore locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and monitor the condition of equipment and machinery.
- Assemble hoses, fittings, and perform hydraulic component troubleshooting as needed.
- Complete and maintain required paperwork, including test reports, condition reports, and job completion forms.
- Interact with customers and provide exceptional service and troubleshooting support.
- Follow all safety and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with quality and health/safety standards.
Education and Qualifications:
- Vocational, Diploma, or Technical Qualification preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in a technical role, with hands-on exposure to site jobs.
- Knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, HPU, and pneumatic components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and documentation.
- Ability to choose appropriate hose and fitting sizes (JIC, BSP, NPT, etc.).
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on technical experience.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting on hydraulic components.
- Proficiency in using hand/power tools and measuring equipment safely.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and API Q1, 7K & 16C standards is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and the environment (QHSE).
Work Environment:
The position requires occasional physical work, including lifting up to 7 kg and working in various environments, both onshore and offshore.

- إجراء أعمال الإصلاح والخدمة عالية المستوى في ورش العمل، السفن، ومنصات الحفر تحت إشراف المشرف.
- إجراء الصيانة والاختبارات للمضخات الهيدروليكية، والمحركات، والأسطوانات، وصمامات التحكم، وHPU، والمحركات والملحقات الهيدروليكية/النيوماتية الأخرى.

- إجراء الصيانة الوقائية ومراقبة حالة المعدات والآلات.

التعليم والمؤهلات:
