Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team for a project in Belgrade, Serbia. This role will involve working on underground metro construction projects, ensuring compliance with design and technical documentation, and monitoring geotechnical risks. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing geotechnical engineering works, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards while maintaining safety and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control compliance of performed works with design and technical documentation, conducting material tests and measurements.
• Identify and address geological hazards or environmental threats during construction, alerting the contractor to take preventive measures and conduct additional surveys as needed.
• Review contractor’s plans and programs, offering recommendations to the client.
• Monitor the progress of work, ensuring adherence to the schedule, and issue orders for necessary corrective actions to the contractor.
• Ensure that materials meet necessary certifications and standards.

• Supervise the quality of geotechnical works and monitor the accuracy of measurements.
• Review contractor’s price analysis and make recommendations for unforeseen works.
• Report on the progress of engineering-geological works and submit periodic reports to the Construction Manager.
• Make recommendations to the contractor regarding improvements in methods, equipment, and materials.

• Review changes to designs and measures proposed by the contractor, forwarding critical issues to the Construction Manager and client for a final decision.
• Participate in negotiations with contractors when required.
• Approve as-built designs prepared by the contractor, ensuring compliance with engineering-geological specifications.
• Contribute to technical inspections and the final handover of completed works.

Qualifications:

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal).
• At least 10 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Must have spent a minimum of 9 years in responsible contractor and/or expert supervision roles on underground metro construction projects.

• Proven ability to oversee complex geotechnical works, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

• يجب أن يكون قد أمضى ما لا يقل عن 9 سنوات في أدوار المقاول المسؤول و / أو الإشراف الخبير في مشاريع بناء المترو تحت الأرض.

• قدرة مثبتة على الإشراف على الأعمال الجيوتقنية المعقدة، وضمان الامتثال للمعايير الفنية والتنظيمية.
