The Role of a Growth Engineer at Canonical

We have created a new Developer Relations team to engage directly with open-source communities and developer-centric organizations. We aim to communicate our vision and products to provide better open-source development experiences, while also getting better feedback from these audiences to shape our offerings and priorities.
A Developer Relations Engineer is a technical expert, strategist, and communicator with deep empathy for developers. This role combines practical engineering skills with strong diplomacy across organizational boundaries in both directions. Like our audience, a Developer Relations Engineer is never satisfied with the status quo and is driven by an insatiable curiosity to find better ways to get things done. They are problem solvers and inventors who understand people’s needs and love how tools can be adapted to meet them. What Your Day Will Look Like
On a typical day, a Developer Relations Engineer might:

The Role of a Senior Product Marketing Manager
Canonical has delivered secure open source to millions of users and enterprises. We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing marketing strategy and go-to-market plans at a global level for our portfolios. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary, and dynamic position, requiring close collaboration with the product and engineering teams, content team, sales teams, as well as other marketing functions… all in support of Canonical’s growth.

Job Description
At Canonical, you will play a key role in making open-source software available to the world. Our Design function ensures that the software and infrastructure we build align with our intentions and deliver the tools that our community and customers need. The Design Manager makes this possible through leadership within and beyond our teams.
As a Senior Design Manager, you bring both experience managing design teams and expertise in a deeply technical domain. This allows you to coach designers in creating tools for developers and cloud engineers and to work cross-context to drive tangible outcomes and elevate the quality of their work. You will manage expectations and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner against your roadmap. You will be able to communicate clearly and actively listen to product and engineering stakeholders, and your team, to drive sustainable quality improvements and guide individuals toward meaningful growth.
Leading the Infrastructure Design team, you will take responsibility for the products that help to build cloud experiences and software distribution mechanisms, and you will contribute to evolving the security of how software is packaged and delivered.
