Job Summary:

The Gardener & Sustainable Agriculture Specialist is responsible for the cultivation, maintenance, and management of indoor and outdoor green spaces. This role requires knowledge of ornamental plants, fruit and vegetable cultivation, hydroponic systems, and basic livestock care (e.g., chickens). The candidate will support both aesthetic landscaping and functional growing systems that promote sustainability, nutrition, and environmental awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, plant, and maintain indoor and outdoor plants, including flowering plants, shrubs, and trees.

• Maintain hydroponic systems, ensuring optimal nutrient and pH balance for plant health.

• Manage vegetable, herb, and fruit gardens, including propagation, transplanting, pest control, and harvesting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certificate or diploma in horticulture, agriculture, or related field.

• Experience with organic gardening or permaculture systems.

• Familiarity with sustainable farming methods, composting, and water conservation.

• Comfort working around students or in an educational environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.

• Willingness to handle soil, fertilizers, and organic materials.

Working Hours:

7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday

ملخص الوظيفة:

مسؤول البستاني وأخصائي الزراعة المستدامة عن زراعة وصيانة وإدارة المساحات الخضراء الداخلية والخارجية. يتطلب الدور معرفة بالنباتات الزخرفية، زراعة الفواكه والخضروات، أنظمة الزراعة المائية، ورعاية الحيوانات الأساسية (مثل الدجاج). يدعم المرشح كل من تنسيق الحدائق الجمالي وأنظمة الزراعة العملية التي تعزز الاستدامة والتغذية والوعي البيئي.
