Automation Engineer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and program automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and new industrial technologies

Conduct feasibility studies and recommend solutions for equipment reliability improvement

Perform system integration, including sensors, actuators, and controllers

Troubleshoot and maintain robotic and automated systems

Optimize system performance by analyzing data and making adjustments.

Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, production staff, and stakeholders to ensure project success

Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnel

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Analyze electrical automation issues, propose solutions and where necessary implement modifications in liaison with back offices to comply with change requests / specification amendments

Provide technical expertise and advise on all electrical automation activities and requirements for efficient delivery of maintenance activities 

Conduct technical investigations and detailed fault finding for recurring and/or serious problems related to electrical automation activities 

Ensure electrical automation records are maintained and kept fully up to date as per Company policies and procedures 

Ability to design and implement robotic automation systems for assembly and commissioning environments

Program and integrate industrial robots and develop control algorithms for robotic task execution

Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate

Technical Coordinator

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for coordinating the planning, scheduling and execution of preventative and scheduled maintenance of all equipment to ensure maintenance activities are delivered to meet operational and customer requirements, whilst ensuring alignment with industry standards 

Lead the planning, scheduling and execution of daily maintenance operations for assigned projects/customers to ensure that work/tasks are performed accurately and efficiently in conformance with established methods, instructions and quality standards, and results are reported in a timely manner as per Company policies and procedures and/or customer reporting requirements 

Review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of current maintenance operational processes and procedures and recommend enhancements where necessary to ensure efficiency is embedded within operations to support achievement of operational objectives

Manage spare parts stock inventory ensuring the suitability and availability of equipment, consumables, stock levels, raw materials, resources, change of suppliers etc and ensure stock replenishment is coordinated and delivered in a timely manner to support delivery of maintenance operations 

Workshop & Supply Chain Senior Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Health and Safety related (HSE)

Champion a strong safety culture across all workshop operations, ensuring HSE principles are fully integrated into daily activities

Coach and support workshop leadership in conducting daily toolbox talks, job risk assessments, and weekly safety meetings, reinforcing proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation

Lead monthly safety performance reviews, analyzing trends, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continuous enhancement of HSE practices

Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company safety standards, fostering strict adherence to workplace safety protocols

Monitor and improve workshop ergonomics, identifying potential hazards related to equipment handling, workspace layout, and employee well-being

Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, proactively identifying non-compliance issues and ensuring corrective actions are taken

Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence

Operational Workshop Related

Develop and implement cost reduction plans while driving efficient and effective workshop practices

Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards

Review and resolve performance, process, quality, and technical issues in the workshop, implementing preventative actions and remedial solutions

Identify areas for automation and digitization to improve daily working practices and drive continuous improvement

Participate in subcontractor/consultant selection and monitor performance against established guidelines
