Job Description
Wood has upcoming new and exciting opportunities with our clients in Bahrain. We are currently looking for Expression of Interest applications for an Electrical Technician to be based in Bahrain. Responsibilities
Job Objective
- Contribute to the technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work in a specific engineering discipline.
- Review and familiarize yourself with the company’s required scope of work, drawings, project specifications, and standards related to Commissioning work and handover scope.
- Comply with company policies, safety requirements, and regulations.
- Accountable for all execution activities, ensuring they are performed according to stated procedures, safety rules, and project requirements.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Executing Assigned Scopes of Work:
- Solve problems using standard methods, applying standard techniques involving minor innovations to provide solutions with a limited number of variables.
- Participate with drafters and other team members to contribute to project completion.
- Coordinate work with engineers and operating groups to facilitate collaboration across organizational units.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can demonstrate equivalence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 8 years in a similar role, with typically 2-4 years of progressively more responsible experience.
- Ability to create functional and cost-effective designs that meet specifications with supervision.
- Some capability for conceptualizing designs.
- Proficient in the use of design software and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline.
- Ability to apply academic theory in a practical context.
- Awareness of industry standards, processes, and procedures.
- Developing knowledge of the regulatory framework and associated legislation.
- Competence in executing assigned tasks within the discipline.
- Working knowledge of procedures and applications related to the role.
- Some understanding of internal economic factors affecting projects.
- Knowledge of competitor capabilities.
- Solid understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
- Good computer literacy and familiarity with engineering software.

Oracle Enterprise Architect
- Support account teams in large-scale opportunities
- Support “Inspire” activities in accounts to generate customer interest
- Work in collaboration with local account team and a broad range of other Oracle LoBs
- Exercise creativity, independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
- Interact with all roles at customer – including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, technical staff and business representatives.
- Provide recommendations on process, capability, and technology changes to enable the realization of client strategy.
- Work with a broad range of Oracle roles to support complex Oracle opportunities with the appropriate skills, deliverables and outcome-base mind-set.
- Participate in the development of actionable roadmaps for the adoption of new business applications and technology solutions.
- Conduct repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap and planning workshops.
- Provide assessment of current state architecture and recommendation of future state architecture.
- Enterprise Blueprints inclusive of Business Model Canvases, Business Functional Capabilities Models, Customer Journey Maps, Value Chains Frameworks and End-to-End Process Maps.
- Provide client specific roadmap and transition plan and identify quick wins (developed in collaboration with Value Consultants and Delivery Teams).
- Define, develop and evolve architecture standards and principles.
- Leads the architecture and solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated cross-domain business solutions.
- Identify and evangelize key business and technology benefits of adoption.
