Overview

•  The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for the development and/or review of
• the Accident Prevention Plan (APP), activity hazard analysis’s, amendments to the accident
• prevention plan, on site safety education, toolbox safety meetings, all around safety
• compliance of the project, and a proactive innovative attitude towards solving difficult sitespecific
• safety issues

• The SSHO is responsible for managing, implementing, and enforcing the project Accident
• Prevention Plan. The SSHO provides full-time on-site safety and occupational health
• management, surveillance, inspections, training, and safety enforcement.
• You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety
• guidelines and procedures. You will ensure the safety of all employees, make sure all projects
• are meeting safety requirements and provide advice and recommendations for safety
• improvements.

 Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO)

Responsibilities

•   Comply with all occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and EM 385 1-1
•   Create and implement site specific APP for construction per EM 385 1-1
•   Create and review Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) and Work Plans.
•   Ensure all safety submittals required are created, submitted, and approved by the
• GDA well in advance of scheduled preparatory meetings.
•   Perform site inspections and observations through the entirety of the shift
•   Provide project safety orientations and briefs
•   Document Weekly Safety Meetings, Weekly Inspections, Deficiencies and Corrective
• Actions, Man Hours Worked and any Incidents

•   Lead and document Near Miss and Incident Investigations / Root Cause Analysis
•   Develop and implement OHS training programs
•   Serve as Environmental Officer when required
•   Oversee disposal of substances according to environmental guidelines
•   Ensure statutes, regulations, and codes are clearly understood and met
•   Enforce all safety and environmental policies and procedures
•   Serve as the Drug testing POC when required to do so

Qualifications

• 30-Hour OSHA Construction Industry 40-Hour HAZWOPER 1st Aid/CPR
• 40-Hour EM 385.1.1 Site Safety & Health Officer Certificate
• Preferred:
• Bachelor Degree
• 3-5 Years’ Safety related experience

المؤهلات

• 30 ساعة في صناعة البناء من OSHA و40 ساعة في الإسعافات الأولية/الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي من HAZWOPER
• شهادة ضابط السلامة والصحة في الموقع EM 385.1.1 لمدة 40 ساعة
• المفضل:
• درجة البكالوريوس
• 3-5 سنوات من الخبرة في مجال السلامة
