Job Title: Chemistry Teacher
Job Purpose
As a Chemistry Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the success of your students by implementing the SABIS® curriculum and teaching methods. You will play an essential role in helping students reach their full potential by engaging them in a dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach classes using the provided lesson plans, and, when necessary, develop new plans based on the pacing charts.
- Mark exams related to your subject according to the department's schedule and guidelines.
- Address disciplinary and performance issues in collaboration with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD).
- Implement the SABIS® Point System to foster an effective learning environment.
- Proctor exams and ensure that they are managed in a structured, organized manner.
- Provide support to low-performing students through motivation and guidance, helping them reach their full potential.
- Prepare students for external exams by reviewing previous materials, in alignment with the structured revision schedule.
- Assist with various administrative duties such as substituting for absent teachers, organizing student activities, managing traffic, etc.
- Participate in school activities, including student life events, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC).
- Attend training sessions to improve your understanding of the SABIS® system and enhance student outcomes.
- Undertake any other related tasks assigned by the school management.
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Proficiency in English.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience.
- Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
- Strong communication skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver results.
