Your Role
As a Senior Rust Engineer at Polygon Labs, you will design and implement core components of the Miden rollup. You’ll contribute to the research and development of its architecture, focusing on state models, transaction models, and execution models. Additionally, you’ll help build the Miden node and Miden VM, working with advanced technologies and modern programming languages.
Your Responsibilities
- Implement and harden the sequencer and client, focusing on Mempool, consensus, and backups.
- Create testing infrastructure for the sequencer and client.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
What You'll Need
- Strong expertise in Rust, including advanced concepts such as generics, lifetimes, and memory management.
- In-depth knowledge of networking primitives in Rust and client/server architecture.
- Familiarity with Ethereum, rollup protocols, and attack vectors.
- Experience with advanced benchmarking and testing frameworks.
- Ability to solve open-ended problems and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with zero-knowledge proof-based blockchain systems.
- Knowledge of cryptography, including hash functions and finite fields.
- Experience working with open-source software and privacy mechanisms.
