Setter Out/Joinery Drafts
Roles & Responsibilities
- Reviewing project details as per the project kick-off received from the setting out manager.
- Preparing the project drawings schedule.
- Managing the shop drawings preparation and submittal process.
- Checking the materials allowed, details, and incorporating all in detailed shop drawings. Clarifying discrepancies with the line manager.
- Reviewing specifications of the project and obtaining clearance for discrepancies between specs and estimated details.
- Identifying project material requirements and samples requirements.
- Identifying and raising RFIs to the line manager for communicating with the project manager and for clarifications in a timely manner.
- Preparing quality shop drawings with high-level detailing needs, taking into consideration acceptable joinery practice, technique, and wastage. Coordinating with the factory on efficient detailing when required.
- Taking into consideration site-related parameters for access, assembly, etc.
- Good knowledge of materials, technical properties, and parameters, density, mechanical properties, homogeneity, available sizes, thicknesses, seasonal lead times, and other constraints.
- Sourcing hardware accessories and optimizing where possible, raising material requisitions to procurement in a timely manner.
- Ensuring the timely project drawings approval process.
- Issuing cutting lists and loading lines to the factory and effectively communicating this info with site installation teams when applicable.
- Coordinating to carry out/obtain timely site surveys or agree alternative options for issuing the job with the line manager if site surveys are not possible, such as oversizing and following an agreed setting out plan (usually in the case of fast-track projects).
- Raising job-related material requisitions and following up effectively for timely delivery with the procurement department.
- Planning schedules forward and forecasting cutting lists issuance to manufacturing.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of similar experience in setting out and performing detailed shop drawings in a shop-fitting or joinery manufacturing company.
- Suitable experience in all aspects of joinery setting out from site surveys, preparation of manufacturing shop drawings, through to material take-off and ordering, preparation of site working drawings.
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing procedures and common shop-fitting materials, including timber, boards, laminates, metal, hardware, and acrylics.
- Well-versed in Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully in a multinational environment.

- مراجعة مواصفات المشروع والحصول على الموافقة على التناقضات بين المواصفات والتفاصيل المقدرة.
- تحديد متطلبات المواد للمشروع واحتياجات العينات.
- تحديد ورفع طلبات الاستفسار إلى المدير المباشر للتواصل مع مدير المشروع وللتوضيحات في الوقت المناسب.
- إعداد رسومات تنفيذية عالية الجودة مع احتياجات التفاصيل الدقيقة مع أخذ ممارسات النجارة المقبولة في الاعتبار وتقنيات التخفيض والهدر. التنسيق مع المصنع لتحقيق تفاصيل فعّالة عند الحاجة.
- مراعاة المعايير المتعلقة بالموقع مثل الوصول، التجميع، وغيرها.
- معرفة جيدة بالمواد، الخصائص التقنية، والمعايير، الكثافة، الخصائص الميكانيكية، التجانس، الأحجام المتاحة، السماكات، أوقات الانتظار الموسمية، والقيود الأخرى.
- البحث عن ملحقات الأجهزة وتحسينها حيثما أمكن، ورفع طلبات المواد إلى المشتريات في الوقت المحدد.
- ضمان عملية الموافقة على الرسومات في الوقت المحدد.
- إصدار قوائم القطع وتحميل الخطوط إلى المصنع والتواصل بفعالية مع فرق التركيب في الموقع عند الحاجة.
- التنسيق لإجراء المسوحات الميدانية في الوقت المناسب أو الاتفاق على بدائل لإصدار العمل مع المدير المباشر إذا كانت المسوحات الميدانية غير ممكنة، مثل زيادة الحجم واتباع خطة إعداد متفق عليها (عادة في المشاريع السريعة).
- رفع طلبات المواد المرتبطة بالوظيفة ومتابعة تسليمها في الوقت المحدد مع قسم المشتريات.
- تخطيط الجداول الزمنية للأمام وتوقع إصدار قوائم القطع للتصنيع.
الملف الشخصي المطلوب
- خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في إعداد الرسومات التنفيذية وكتابة الرسومات التفصيلية في شركات النجارة أو تصنيع التجهيزات.
- خبرة مناسبة في جميع جوانب إعداد الرسومات التنفيذية بدءًا من المسح الميداني، إعداد رسومات التصنيع، مرورًا بحساب المواد وطلبها، وإعداد رسومات العمل للموقع.
- معرفة قوية بإجراءات التصنيع ومواد التجهيزات الشائعة مثل الخشب، الألواح، اللامينيت، المعادن، الأجهزة، والأكريليك.
- إلمام كامل ببرنامج Autodesk AutoCAD و Microsoft Office.
- مهارات تواصل ومهارات التعامل مع الآخرين ممتازة وقدرة على العمل بنجاح في بيئة متعددة الجنسيات.
