What You’ll Do
The MetaMask mobile wallet is growing and looking for mobile engineers to support and build exciting features enabling access to all through the mobile platform. We’re hiring mobile engineers to join our mobile platform team.
We are looking for someone with deep experience with both JavaScript and building mobile products. This person will be focused on helping lead feature development in our React Native codebase.
In this role, you’ll be working on web3 technologies, working to keep people’s funds safe and secure, and collaborating with design and QA to create the best product possible.

Salary Range
The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.

The MetaMask Wallet API Platform Team
Empowering developers to deliver great decentralized user experiences is at the heart of MetaMask’s purpose. From the beginning, we have done so by providing the web with an API that allows any developer to turn their site or web-app into a decentralized app connected to the blockchain.
Currently, the MetaMask Wallet API allows dApps to do things like: propose transactions to users, access the address of the user’s current account, use keys in MetaMask to help users encrypt and decrypt messages, propose to users that they sign specific messages, access the connected node/provider and call all methods on the Ethereum RPC API, and propose that users add and switch to a specific network. We enhance and expand this list of capabilities and build tools to help other teams build new capabilities themselves.

About API Platform
The API Platform team powers the rich experience of the Metamask Wallet by providing backend API services for all Metamask platforms: extension, mobile, portfolio, and MetaMask Institutional. The EVM Datalake is the frontrunner of this experience by providing accurate, low latency indexed blockchain data to allow web3 users to see their token account balances, translation history, NFT collections and more. The EVM Datalake team’s mission is to constantly serve the most valuable on-chain data to our decentralized applications and developer users across multiple blockchains.
What You’ll Do
We are looking for a senior backend engineer with production application experience to work on growing our multi-chain EVM Datalake. This team extracts and indexes on-chain data taking in requirements from both our internal applications and our developer community. The ideal candidate for this position has deep experience working with the Ethereum protocol and is able to design and lead a complex feature area autonomously.
Would Be Great if You Brought this to the Role
- 8+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer working on production applications
- Strong proficiency with GoLang development
- Strong proficiency of relational databases: PostgreSQL
- Experience working on data engineering and data products
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience working on agile projects in an Agile environment
- Experience working in CI/CD setup
- Experience working in a distributed, remote team environment
- Experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability and experience in writing good technical documentation
- Located in EMEA/able to work EMEA business hours
Bonus Points for Any of:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related subject
- Experience working with decentralized applications or web3 protocols
- Experience in Typescript
