Safety Engineer, Automation - Fixed term 2 year
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Safety Engineer to oversee the safety and reliability of our autonomous systems. You will be the go-to expert on safety protocols within the project team, working closely with the Automation Project Managers and key stakeholders. Your primary role will involve assessing, documenting, and mitigating safety risks while ensuring compliance with local and industry regulations. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in automation, safety standards, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Documentation : Develop and support the creation of essential safety documentation (ODD, HARA, Risk Assessment) to uphold project safety standards.
- Risk Assessment : Identify and mitigate safety risks associated with autonomous operations, ensuring that all relevant processes are followed.
- Supplier Collaboration : Evaluate safety concepts provided by suppliers and integrate them into specific projects.
- Project Support : Support the project from roadmap creation to go-live and stable operations, ensuring safety measures are embedded throughout.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with Operations, QA, and the global product team to align safety standards and operational use cases.
- Monitoring and Reporting : Regularly monitor project risks and provide timely updates to Automation Project Managers on safety cases and concepts.
- Training : Assist in onboarding and training new team members on safety practices and project protocols.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Education : Engineering degree or Master’s in Engineering; additional qualifications in Automation are a plus.
- Certifications : Relevant Safety Management or Risk Assessment certifications, such as ISO 26262, ISO 13849, and/or ISO 3691.
- Experience : Previous experience with autonomous systems in transport or confined environments; familiarity with industrial automation in logistics, distribution centers, or ports is preferred.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in CAD/CAE software, with hands-on experience in control systems and instrumentation.
- Multidisciplinary Expertise : Experience coordinating disciplines including Civil, IT, and Mechanical engineering to deploy complex automation products.
- Critical Thinking : Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems methodically and creatively in a high-stakes, technical environment.

- التدريب: المساعدة في دمج وتدريب أعضاء الفريق الجدد على ممارسات السلامة وبروتوكولات المشروع.
المؤهلات والخبرة المطلوبة:
- التعليم: درجة في الهندسة أو الماجستير في الهندسة؛ المؤهلات الإضافية في مجال الأتمتة تعتبر ميزة إضافية.
- الشهادات: شهادات إدارة السلامة أو تقييم المخاطر ذات الصلة، مثل ISO 26262، وISO 13849، و/أو ISO 3691.
- الخبرة: خبرة سابقة في الأنظمة المستقلة في النقل أو البيئات المحدودة؛ ويفضل المعرفة بالأتمتة الصناعية في الخدمات اللوجستية أو مراكز التوزيع أو الموانئ.
- المهارات الفنية: الكفاءة في برامج CAD/CAE، مع خبرة عملية في أنظمة التحكم والأجهزة.
- خبرة متعددة التخصصات: خبرة في تنسيق التخصصات بما في ذلك الهندسة المدنية وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والهندسة الميكانيكية لنشر منتجات الأتمتة المعقدة.
