  About this job

• Job Title SATCOM O&M Support
• Location Isa Airbase, Bahrain
• The SATCOM O&M Support position will support the day-to-day maintenance and operation of assigned terminals.

• Knowledge of tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment. 
• Know how to operate Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switch, associated cables, and interconnects; Up Converters, Redundancy Switch; Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects; Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Units; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS); Generator (if applicable). 

• Technical documentation skills related to SAR, GAR, TSR and ASI requests. 
• Know how to use Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) equipment; power meter, spectrum analyzer, firebird, volt meter, etc...

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience operating in a tactical satellite environment operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNA/LNB, up and down converters, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems) and Modem Hub operations. 
• Experience and skill with commercial and military satellite and commercial TDMA/FDMA modems required. 
• The following certifications are required Modem certification(s) (i.e. idirect, GVF training, viasat).
• Able to travel to support mission up to 10%.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics preferred, OR a certification plus 7 total years of recent specialized experience, OR 11 total years of recent specialized experience. 

2-Help Desk Technical Tier I Support

• The Help Desk Technical Tier I Support position will provide information and assistance resources that troubleshoot problems with computers or similar products on the network.

• Field trouble calls via the phone and computer trouble ticketing system. 
• Perform laptop imaging. 
• Perform basic IP troubleshooting. 
• Build user accounts on the domain. 
• Add and remove computers from a Microsoft domain environment. 
• Assign user accounts to appropriate groups and permissions. 
• Build exchange mailboxes.

3-IT Specialist

Primary responsibilities include

• Provide direct Tier II customer support and resolution for various hardware and software issues.
• Perform routine Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server system administrative functions to include account creations and modifications, Access Control List (ACL) modification, management of distribution and mail enabled security groups, shared mailbox permissions and mail management functions.
• Provide first line response and corrective actions to server anomalies
• Assist with the deployment of applicable Windows Server and Windows Desktop software utilizing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.

• Monitor and maintain security and integrity standards and controls.
• Perform and document applicable Defense Information Server Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) check and findings.
• Candidate will perform backup, file restoration and disaster recovery system utilizing COMMVAULT backup software.
• Utilize BMC Remedy IT Service Management software for incident management and documenting customer change requests.
• Assist with creation and content management of applicable standard operating procedures and supporting documentation

• Plan and Assist in the evaluation, testing and recommendation of hardware, software, and network configurations based on customer need.
• May be required to support after normal working hours systems outages and technical refreshes as required.
