Join VOX Cinemas as a Kitchen Operations Manager and take charge of our kitchen operations at the assigned cinema site. You will lead our culinary team, manage inventory, and oversee financials to ensure we deliver consistent quality while enhancing the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, develop, and manage performance of all culinary staff to maintain high morale and promote teamwork.
- Attend weekly meetings with the Executive Chef to review business performance, customer feedback, and plan for staffing, training, menu development, and upcoming events.
- Ensure daily operations align with VOX standards for food quality and hygiene by maintaining cleanliness and food safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections of food stores and kitchen sections to uphold stock rotation and inventory management.
- Maintain staff hygiene standards and a comprehensive logbook detailing daily kitchen operations, including tasks, issues, and upcoming events.
- Adapt menu items based on guests' dietary needs and ensure preparations maximize yield while minimizing waste in line with food cost targets.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, including dietary types, plating, and cooking methods, and ensure this knowledge is shared with the culinary team.
Personal Characteristics and Required Background
- Skillset: Proven ability to control food costs, engineer menus, and maintain smooth kitchen operations while achieving high NPS scores.
- Personal Traits: Team player with strong leadership and training skills, excellent communication with line staff, management, and guests, and a flexible approach to working hours.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Middle East-based operation with prior experience as a Sous Chef or similar position. Experience in a 5-star hotel chain is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications and inventory systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Internationally recognized food safety certificate (HACCP preferred).
- Completion of a Chef training course or culinary training for a minimum of 1 year.

Role Profile
- Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, guest service, cost control, and consistency, in line with company expectations and compliance with local laws.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation requirements as per the Department of Health, OSHA, and other local agencies, and keep all managers updated on any legal changes.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Public Relations, and Marketing teams to enhance market recognition and maximize guest covers.
- Assign and guide employees in their work, monitor performance, and encourage improvements while utilizing performance appraisal tools effectively.
- Oversee the hiring, training, supervision, coaching, counseling, and evaluation of all market team members.
- Safeguard and enhance the value of all Market assets through maintenance, security, housekeeping programs, and capital budgeting alongside the General Manager.
- Maintain proper inventory levels to facilitate restaurant operations, enforce strict inventory controls, and participate in monthly inventory reconciliations with the Purchasing and Finance team.
- Foster positive and professional relations with vendors and manage their interactions with staff on property.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of restaurant management experience required.
- Expert knowledge of operations in the food and beverage industry, hospitality service techniques, and guest interactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, and POS systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interactions with staff, clients, and the public.
- Ability to work collaboratively, stay organized, manage multiple projects, and make informed decisions.
- Competence in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

- Manage petty cash accounts and reconcile till cash for Time Out Market.
- Order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the onboarding of new staff by managing paperwork and leading orientation in coordination with the Human Capital team.
- Prepare payroll spreadsheets, calculate staff tips, and submit HR reports to the payroll provider.
- Ensure financial procedures are followed, including obtaining appropriate sign-offs.
- Prepare revenue statements for concessionaires.
- Handle general office administration tasks, including maintaining files and organizing information.
- Report and provide information to the General Manager and head office.
- Collaborate with Human Capital to ensure seamless staff onboarding processes.
