Role Description:
We are seeking a full-time Accommodation Outfitting Engineer to join our team in Al-Hidd, Bahrain. The role involves designing, planning, and overseeing the installation and repair of outfitting components, including carpentry, panelling, flooring, and insulation on ships and vessels. Key responsibilities include collaborating with ship staff and shipyard teams, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Design and Planning: Develop and execute designs for ship and rig accommodation outfitting.
- Installation & Repair: Oversee the installation and repair of outfitting components, including carpentry, panelling, flooring, and insulation.
- Coordination: Work closely with ship staff, shipyard teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Compliance: Ensure all outfitting work complies with maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the outfitting process.
- Communication: Maintain strong communication and teamwork with all project stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, specifically with ship/rig accommodation outfitting design, planning, coordination, installation, and repair.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of ship and rig accommodation outfitting.
- Experience coordinating with shipyards, suppliers, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
