AV Programmer

 

Key Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for designing, programming, and configuring control systems that integrate various audio, video, lighting, and automation equipment. 
• Program control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) to automate AV solutions, including lighting, displays, audio, and other integrated technologies.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop system functionality that meets project specifications and client needs.
• Create user-friendly interfaces for control systems, ensuring a seamless experience for end-users.
• Troubleshoot and debug AV systems to ensure full functionality and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to develop tailored AV solutions that meet unique project requirements
• Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify successful integration and performance.
• Provide technical support and on-site troubleshooting as needed during installation and after system handover.
• Document programming, system layouts, and configurations for internal records and client use.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technology, standards, and programming techniques.

Skills and Qualifications:

•  Proven experience in AV programming, ideally with Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar control systems.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems integration, including audio, video, lighting, and network technologies.
• Proficiency in coding languages used for AV programming (e.g., Crestron SIMPL, AMX NetLinx, or Extron’s Global Configurator).
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and their application in AV environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX Programmer, CTS) are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
