The Shop Manager plays a vital role in leading and managing store operations to achieve the highest standards of customer service while maximizing sales and profitability in line with the company's objectives. Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Detect and anticipate customers' needs, provide regular feedback on market trends, and monitor competitors' activities in the region. Greet customers and assist them to ensure their needs and complaints are addressed promptly and to a high standard, fostering customer loyalty.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving process of items and monitor all inventory activities such as cycle counts, stock movements, and transfers between shops and warehouses, including managing damaged items and returns.
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales performance on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis. Monitor selling items and identify replenishment needs, coordinating with the Business Manager (BM) and Visual Merchandiser (VM) to place accurate orders and meet stock performance objectives.
- Staff Management: Prepare staff schedules based on budgeted hours, visitor traffic, and operational needs. Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate team members to ensure they possess the necessary skills and contribute optimally to the company’s goals. Conduct daily meetings to keep the team informed and engaged.
- Operational Documentation: Log and update all commercial and operational information and various requests accurately and in a timely manner on provided platforms.
- Budget Management: Manage the annual allocated budget by monitoring expenditures, optimizing costs, and reporting variances against the budget.
- Store Compliance: Ensure the shop's image complies with brand standards, verifying cleanliness, display, and maintenance of all areas, including windows, cash registers, and stockrooms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial role; prior experience in the retail industry is a significant advantage
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in MS Office

As a Tax Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all tax reports and reconciliations are accurate and compliant with regulations. You will review accounting transactions from a tax perspective, prepare tax returns for various taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.), and ensure timely filing and payment. You will also be responsible for keeping the team informed about changes in tax regulations and facilitating early adaptations to these changes.

Responsibilities:
- Review and Reconciliation: Inspect and review tax reports and reconciliations prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Data Checks: Conduct data checks and review sample documents to identify and rectify errors as needed.
- Tax Returns Preparation: Prepare tax returns for all direct and indirect taxes for the relevant countries, ensuring timely filing and payment.
- Regulation Updates: Update the team on tax regulations and changes, assisting in the adaptation of changes across multiple affected systems in coordination with technical teams.
- Liaison: Liaise with the Regional Tax Team, ABS Tax team, and tax consultants on all tax-related queries to provide accurate and timely information.
- Audit Support: Assist the Regional Tax Team in preparing documents and reconciliations for Tax Audits or Tax Filings at the Group Level.
- Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered and maintained, meeting all internal service level agreements (SLAs) and following up on requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s degree is a plus
- 4-6 years of experience in accounting and tax compliance; Big 4 or large group experience is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic and French is a plus
