About the job
GovCIO has an exciting opportunity to provide electrical engineering, construction management\quality assurance engineering services in support of NAVFAC EURAFCENT Public Works Department (PWD) Bahrain located in Manama, Bahrain and supporting efforts in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. The Electrical Engineer will serve as a Design Manager for assigned projects in NSA Bahrain, Isa AB, and UAE for NAVFAC. The responsibilities of this position include application and interpretation of professional engineering requirements to naval facility design, conducting engineering studies surveys and investigations, and sitting on team engineering reviews.

Various NAVFAC Instructions related to the Planning Design and Construction Directorate and Real Estate Business Line
Make regular visits to project sites to review construction work complies with requirements, including the design, Unified Facility Criteria, and safety requirements.
Develop and recommend escalation of administrative courses of action (e.g., discussions, notice of non-compliance, withholding payment, termination, etc.) to bring construction agent into compliance with contract requirements.
Prepare a quality assurance report for each site visit.
Support the review/approval of government approved technical and administrative submittals including but not limited to contractor’s baseline and monthly updates to the critical path schedule, test plans/reports, materials, design submissions, performance verification tests of major systems, etc.
