About the job
Job Description
We are undertaking an upgrade on our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, which connects to various applications, including SAP, using IBM ACE/APIC as the middleware. The primary objective is to maintain current functionality while transitioning from one destination to another. This involves a 6-month preparation period in the development environment, followed by a cut over to the new system.
Responsibilities:
Create copies of existing interfaces to test connections during development.
Change the destination of interfaces once the development environment is ready.
Participate in testing and debugging to ensure seamless transition.
Move changes to the quality space around September/October.
Assist in moving into production in January and handle go-live and hyper care.
Ensure no changes to data translation or mapping; only URL and destination changes.
Collaborate with the project team to upgrade items in parallel with the new ACE/APIC mapping.
Work independently but coordinate closely with the project team and Naresh for alignment.
Technical Requirements:
Expertise in IBM ACE and APIC.
Experience with SAP and PLM systems.
Familiarity with building and managing interfaces.
Ability to replicate solutions and make required changes without altering data translation or mapping.
