Manager Airside Operations
About the job
Main Objectives
Manage and lead the day-to-day activities and general functions of the airside operations of Bahrain Airport Services to provide highest standard of service to customer airlines and other key stakeholders. Plans, directs and co-ordinates the activities of assigned senior employee of the sections within ramp operations. The day-to-day operations are maintained to the agreed customer airline services level standard. The person accountable for this role is responsible for the day to day management of the staff including operational decisions, safety compliance, training requirements and the overall coordination of activities to safely deliver the customer experience, while achieving operational and financial objectives. Responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support to all staff in such a way that they are able to carry out their roles and responsibilities ensuring that the required day to day tasks which are laid down in the job description are met and in line with the rules and regulations set by the Bahrain Airport Services. This role provides support to all other operational management at all times.
Main Duties
Ensure all activities are in compliance with Bahrain Airport Services, customer airlines and the regulators procedures.
Provides overall supervision over the activities of assigned personnel in the ramp area. Includes ensuring that ground operations activities are carried out with maximum efficiency according to legislative and customer requirements, updates ground equipment for ground operations to meet airport changes as international standards.
Provides overall supervision over the activities of the traffic support function. Includes ensuring that traffic and administration standards are well maintained to meet airline standards.
Personally, follows up any discrepancies or any special requirements with individual airlines and reviews daily traffic facilities such as equipment.
