ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT


These jobs are located in the Office of Inspections and Investigations in Headquarters (HQ). The successful candidate will operate as a team member and will report to the Director, Office of Inspections and Investigations or the designate. Frequent, often at short-notice, travel to WFP Field Operations is required, mainly to developing countries.


JOB PURPOSE


The Consultant will report to the Director, Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI) and/or his delegate as appointed by the Director of OIGI. The consultant will specifically deliver their work either individually or within a multidisciplinary t
eam.The ultimate goal and mission of the OIGI is to conduct independent investigations into allegations of misconduct involving WFP staff, contractors and other applicable persons.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)


Under the supervision and direction of the OIGI Director or his delegate, the Consultant will generally be responsible for some or all of the following duties:
Review and assess complaints and allegations;
Carry out investigations into allegations of violations of applicable rules and regulations;
Conduct interviews and collect evidence;
