Lead Engineer (Game Development)
About the job
Our client is a young and dynamic Mobile Casual Gaming development company. As the Lead Engineer, you will be the driving force behind the development team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality games that captivate players.
In this role, you will not only lead but also roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with coding, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop solutions that propel the company's success.
Workplace: 100% Remote from Europe, UK or Türkiye
Contract type: Full-time, Permanent
Workplace policy: 100% Remote
Experience level: 10+ years, with min. 3 years leading a team
Languages: English Fluent
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the development team (6 FTE) to ensure timely delivery of high-quality games, while keeping being involved in development and code review
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Artists, Management) to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with product goals
Lead the Tech Development and coordinate partnerships with other Studios
Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, standard features, project plans, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of projects
Develop and maintain the Unity-based template project
Implement and maintain development and engineering best practices, coding standards, and processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies and make recommendations for the adoption of new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development team
Foster a high sense of responsibility, initiative, and ownership within the team. Encourage members to take responsibility, identify issues, and propose innovative solutions while leading by example, demonstrating accountability, drive, and commitment
Be the principal Technology referent by supporting Management and other leaders in handling the required tasks
Job requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Full-Stack software
