Control Engineer
About the job
Title - Control Engineer
Type - Contract
Location - Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot control systems using Siemens Step 7 Classic and TIA Portal.
- Write and implement TL Language and SCL for PLCs and other control systems.
- Lead and delegate tasks within projects to ensure efficient progress and high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand the intent of system migrations and integrations.
- Provide guidance and support for the setup and configuration of Siemens Automation systems.
- Analyze and understand existing codebases, spending significant time working with SCL and Structured Text.
- Continuously update knowledge of control languages, including Java and Python, and apply this knowledge to control system development.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industrial experience in controls engineering.
- Extensive experience with Siemens Step 7 Classic and TIA Portal.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), Statement List (STL), and Structure Text (SCL).
- Experience leading control system projects in an industrial setting.
