About the job
Description
Provide electrical system network analysis, load flow, short circuit, protection setting reports and engineering support to operating and maintenance departments as per company requirements, established health, safety and quality standards and recognized industry best practices for maximizing process plant asset utilization. Implement assigned major capital expenditure projects and lead electrical design for specific project development.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for electrical system network analysis for the Refinery and Sitra tanks using internationally recognized software such as Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) or equivalent for enabling maximum process plant asset utilization by the end users.
Provide quality assurance of the engineering outputs to ensure that all assigned projects completed on time and within budget.
Conduct investigations into the problems assigned by engineering services requests and provide cost estimates to the operating departments for the implementation of solutions.
Provide approved engineering drawings to carry out essential repairs.
Provide specifications to maintenance departments for purchase of replacement equipment. Oversee purchase of long lead engineered replacement equipment in order to meet shutdown schedules.
Implement justifiable projects after obtaining Company approvals.
Participate in management of change review teams and in HAZOP studies to ensure safe working and operating conditions in the plant.
Maintain integrity of engineering documentation by ensuring adherence to all relevant Company standards.
