WE hiring Experienced Master Cutter in bahrain
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Master Cutter whose experience is focused on wedding and evening gowns, formal attires, and accessories to join our team.
As a Master Cutter, you will play a pivotal role in the garment production process by translating designer sketches and patterns into precise fabric cuts. Your expertise in cutting and shaping fabrics will be essential in ensuring the quality, fittings and overall aesthetics of the garments we create. Responsibilities:
1. Interpret designer sketches and patterns to determine the most efficient way to cut fabric.
2. Select appropriate fabrics based on design requirements and ensure proper handling and storage.
3. Lay out patterns on fabric to optimize fabric usage and minimize waste.
4. Use cutting tools such as shears, scissors, and rotary cutters to accurately cut fabric according to pattern measurements.
5. Pay close attention to grain lines, pattern placement, and fabric direction to ensure proper alignment and draping.
6. Collaborate with the design team, seamstresses, and tailors to discuss fabric cutting requirements and specifications.
7. Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to garment pieces to achieve the desired fit and silhouette.
8. Maintain a clean and organized cutting area, including proper storage of fabric remnants and cutting tools.
9. Train and mentor junior cutters and apprentices to develop their cutting skills and techniques.
10. Stay informed about new cutting techniques, tools, and technologies to enhance cutting processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Master Cutter in a garment production or fashion design environment
2. In-depth knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and fabric properties
3. Proficiency in using cutting tools and equipment with precision and accuracy
4. Strong technical skills and attention to detail in cutting fabric to ensure quality and fit
5. Excellent spatial awareness and ability to visualize garment construction from patterns
6. Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design and production teams
7. Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding fabric cutting techniques and processes
8. Knowledge of different types of fabrics, their characteristics, and how they drape and behave when cut
9. Ability to work extended hours depending on business operation requirements to complete projects.
