Advisor - Geophysicist
About the job
Carries out seismic interpretation for onshore and offshore areas in order to identify drillable prospects to discover new reserves.
Monitors and liaises with Seismic Acquisition and Processing Contractors the execution of seismic programs to ensure better quality control.
Participate in monitoring the execution of the work obligation of I.O.C.'s under EPSA.
Delineates the stratigraphic anomalies from seismic data and carries out geo-seismic modelling for the purpose of identifying subtle petroleum traps.
Conduct Data Rooms for offshore Blocks in order to award Open Blocks to I,O.C.'s.
Assists in concession monitoring to ensure that contractual obligations are met. Includes reviewing reports, holding technical discussions etc.
Education:
B.Sc in Geosciences, preferably Geophysics.
Experience:
15+ year’s experience in geophysical work in the oil industry with background in interpretation techniques and knowledge of data processing.
