Associate - Global Organized Crime Index
Job Summary
- GI-TOC has commenced the data collection process for the third iteration of the Global Organized Crime Index. To facilitate the development of the Index, the GI-TOC is seeking to appoint an Associate to provide assistance. The candidate will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to, undertaking research pertaining to organized crime in different countries and updating country profiles, as well as preparing them for expert review. The Associate will work closely with the core team responsible for the development of the Global Organized Crime Index.
Main responsibilities and specific tasks
- Contribute to the following stages of the Index production as they arise:
- Identify experts on organized crime for the development and/or dissemination of the Global Organized Crime Index
- Participate in regular (virtual) meetings to provide updates to the Research Coordinator and Project Lead
- Coordinate and organize expert group meetings (EGMs), workshops, meetings and other project-related events
- Contribute to the writing and review of Global Organized Crime Index documentation
- Carry out research of country or thematic-specific organized crime trends, events, and developments
- Updating information pertaining to criminal markets, actors and resilience in country profiles for assigned regions on a regular basis
- Consolidate comments into expert-ready profiles
- Contribute to the dissemination activities of the Index
- Administrative and other project-related tasks
Qualifications (R-Required, D-Desired)
- Undergraduate degree in Organized Crime or related Social Sciences (e.g. Criminology, Security Studies, Law, International Relations or International Crime & Justice) – R
- Postgraduate degree in Organized Crime or related Social Sciences (e.g. Criminology, Security Studies, Law, International Relations or International Crime & Justice) – D

- المساهمة في كتابة ومراجعة وثائق مؤشر الجريمة المنظمة العالمية
- قم بإجراء بحث حول اتجاهات وأحداث وتطورات الجريمة المنظمة الخاصة ببلد أو بموضوع معين
- تحديث المعلومات المتعلقة بالأسواق الإجرامية والجهات الفاعلة والمرونة في الملامح القطرية للمناطق المخصصة على أساس منتظم
- دمج التعليقات في ملفات تعريف جاهزة للخبراء
- المساهمة في أنشطة نشر الفهرس
- المهام الإدارية وغيرها من المهام المتعلقة بالمشروع
