- About the role…
- We are expanding our highly skilled team and actively seeking a Sr Manager, Demand Forecasting Solutions to strengthen our demand planning team within o9. In this role, you will lead pilots and proof-of-concepts (POCs) in collaboration with prospective clients and our sales teams to demonstrate the early value of the o9 platform. You will manage a POC team consisting of a solution architect, data scientists, and consultants to deploy o9’s demand planning solution and best-in-class forecasting models.
- Our ideal candidate has successfully led customer engagements managing in-depth technical discussions as well as high level results presentations with client executives, enterprise architects and IT management. They will have a Master’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or related field. Their background will be in consulting, product development or pre-sales with a technical foundation in Data Science and will have successfully delivered projects for customers. We are looking for candidates with experience in Retail.
What you’ll do for us:
- Deliver and lead Demand Planning pilots and POCs for enterprise customers in Retail including mobilization, blueprinting, modeling and analysis & presentation on short timelines
- Translate requirements, structure o9 approach and present the proof of value to win over new customers or extend on their SaaS subscription
- Propose data requirements, assess data readiness and map customer data models to the o9 platform
- Apply best-in-class forecasting models to achieve performance improvements in benchmarks with customer baselines and competition
- Manage a team of high performing architects, data scientists and consultants to support the strategic initiative
What you’ll bring:
Mandatory:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering. Masters Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or Operations preferred.
- >2 years in a consulting, product development or technical pre-sales role with a track record of successfully delivering customer projects/ pilots in a quantitative field
- Experience presenting a compelling value proposition and project results
- Led a team of junior consultants, data scientists or architects and built their capabilities by daily mentoring, coaching and training
- Strong foundation in Data Science and understanding of Statistical and Machine Learning forecasting models or related Data Science fields
- You thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment, where there is much white space and problem solving is at the heart of what drives you
- We really value team spirit: Transparency and frequent communication is key. At o9, this is not limited by hierarchy, distance, or function
- Openness to learn from industry experts as well as the willingness to mentor junior engineers.
Nice to have:
- Practical knowledge of professional software sales and consulting/ IT services industry
- Proven track record of managing projects end-to-end in an agile framework
- CP and Retail experience
- MBA or PhD in quantitative field
