About the role
- Apply senior-level Ruby skills to contribute to the overall backend architecture.
- Identify and analyze long-running queries and database performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize database performance.
- Rewrite and optimize queries for improved efficiency.
- Demonstrate experience in resolving problems in a scaled-up system.
- Showcase experience in reviving and optimizing systems that have faced scaling challenges.
- Illustrate the ability to diagnose and fix issues in a system that has reached its capacity.
Must-Have Skills:
- Back-end development using ROR
- Experience in managing complex systems with substantial traffic and data.
- Possess advanced and high-level SQL skills to effectively troubleshoot and optimize queries.
- Demonstrate expertise in writing complex SQL queries.
- Strong experience in reviving and optimizing systems that have faced scaling challenges.
- Familiarity with AWS
