Responsibilities
- Ensure the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling, that project controls systems and processes are implemented and continue to deliver accurate project status & that project cost data and reports are accurate
- Collaborate with procurement, material managers, & engineering workgroup leads pertaining to essential items of supply
- Provide priorities for projects to guarantee completion
- Contribute to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis
- Use judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.
- Oversee the project’s, cost controls, change management, forecasting, and reporting efforts
- Drive effective execution of project control functions on various capital projects
- Evaluate project health status and maintain effective communication with project leadership
- Assess project contracts and commercial terms to ensure that the project controls processes are aligned to address specific needs
- Coordinate & communicate with engineering, construction, and procurement on project activities and inputs & all stakeholders - including client, subcontractors, and joint venture partners on data integration and reporting
Senior Project Controls Specialist - Angola
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, project controls, engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
- 15 + years in project controls
- Proven ability with project health assessments, budget development, cost analysis, forecasting & variance reporting techniques
- Must be able to manage analytical & data centric project controls
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including reporting through Power BI
- Must be able to self-lead & communicate to all levels of project team including management & clients
Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) - Contingency
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access and security clearance if required by project.
- Must be able to pass a NACLC security background check.
- Must possess passport book with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
- Must be able to pass DOD security clearance for base access
- High School Diploma: B.S. in Safety Management preferred
- 5 years of Construction Industry safety experience on similar DOD or BOS projects in supervising or managing general industry or construction programs (managing safety programs, processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls).
- A minimum of an OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (within past 5 years)
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Training
- CSP or CHST certification preferred
- Ability to train personnel in fall protection, excavation, shoring, scaffolding, and/or confined space preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the USACE Safety Manual EM385-1-1
- Must have EM-385 40HR certification course
- Strong Commitment to Safety
- Must pass drug screen, criminal and background check. The company is committed to a drug free workplace and pre-employment drug screens are a condition of employment.
- Must possess, or be able to secure and maintain a Secret Security clearance
