Project Manager
- The Agile Scrum Master will lead specific Agile Scrum teams and ensure end to end oversight and management activities of a number of digital transformation initiatives within Bank AI Program. In this capacity, the Agile Scrum Master will serve as the central point of accountability and reference for a portfolio of projects – orchestrating all the deliverables and outputs across business, functional, operational, and technical aspects of the Program.
- Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:
- To lead the end-to-end design, build and implementation of the assigned initiatives to digitize Bank Innovation Initiatives with controlled, iterative rollouts
- Lead the planning, organization, and execution of cross-functional technology and business improvement projects and programs
- Managing and partnering with chosen vendor(s) solutions as per the Innovation strategy and operating model
- Assist the Innovation Product Owners with keeping the backlog groomed
- Facilitates scrum events – including when applicable daily standup, integration planning, iteration review and iteration retrospective and ensures they are productive and timeboxed.
- Represents the team/product owner’s POV in scrum of scrums and coordinates with other scrum masters/team leads on dependencies.
- Act as a Project Manager when necessary – taking responsibility for managing dependencies between the Agile team and third parties or between your team and other scrum teams
- Ensure management tools, such as Jira or others, reflect current state of work at all times and coach product teams on the Agile framework and mindset and guide development teams to higher Agile maturity.
- Actively resolve impediments for the scrum team to ensure work is delivered on schedule and proactively escalate any impediments for resolution with senior leadership
- Create team capacity/velocity and release burn up and sprint burn down and defect metrics, help product teams create and maintain the product roadmap, and work with product partners to prioritize product functionality within available team capacity
- Diligently program expenditures and track against approved budgets ensuring on-time / under-budget delivery
- Manage and coordinate cross functional teams and business groups as needed in the delivery of product functionality and manage and report on risks, issues and dependencies on other program areas
- Partner with business owners, product owners, technology and finance partners to ensure timely delivery and enforces team rules and requirements hygiene
- Create weekly executive status reports for products that accurately reflects delivery status for the overall innovation program
- Analyze project risks & impacts; and drive product and technology executives to mitigate issues. Proactive management of issue/risk tracking and resolution.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement mindset
- Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of the Product and / or proposition rollout.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum and digital product management best practices and new trends
- Strengthen the presence of the Agile Teams and actively contribute to the Bank’s Agile Community
