Boarding officer
- GAC Bahrain is looking for candidates for the role of Boarding officer, based in Bahrain. If you are a natural leader with what it takes to coordinate and support the range of agency services GAC offers its customers, monitor the various clearance services required in a safe and timely manner, and create a professional impression, then we have the perfect job for you!
Job Description
- Arrange customs clearance of different types of marine craft during arrival and departure at ports in Bahrain.
- Communicate with authorities (Customs, Immigration, Security, Port etc.) as part of the vessel and cargo clearance and other related matters.
- Arrange Customs clearance of ships at sea (anchorage).
- Liaise with Ship Master and representative to arrange required services.
- Supervise cargo movement and visit ships at port as and when required.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health & environmental rules and regulations.
- Prepare customs bayan for cargo and other tasks associated with vessel stay at port.
- Maintain good working relationship with officials and other stakeholders regarding vessel arrival and movements.
Job requirements
- Must have valid license for Customs clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field.
- Good understanding and knowledge on the Customs clearance procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Able to visit ships at sea.
- Able to work in flexible working hours.
- Time management skills – outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Communication Skills: Good English and Arabic (mandatory) written & spoken.

ضابط الصعود

المسمى الوظيفي
- ترتيب التخليص الجمركي لمختلف أنواع الوسائل البحرية أثناء الوصول والمغادرة في موانئ البحرين.
- التواصل مع السلطات (الجمارك والهجرة والأمن والموانئ وما إلى ذلك) كجزء من تخليص السفن والبضائع والمسائل الأخرى ذات الصلة.
- ترتيب التخليص الجمركي للسفن في البحر (إرساء).
- الاتصال بقائد السفينة وممثلها لترتيب الخدمات المطلوبة.
- الإشراف على حركة البضائع وزيارة السفن في الميناء عند الاقتضاء.
- - ضمان الالتزام بجميع قواعد وأنظمة السلامة والصحة والبيئة.
- إعداد البيان الجمركي للبضائع والمهام الأخرى المرتبطة ببقاء السفينة في الميناء.
- الحفاظ على علاقة عمل جيدة مع المسؤولين وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين فيما يتعلق بوصول السفن وتحركاتها.
متطلبات العمل
- يجب أن يكون لديك ترخيص ساري المفعول للتخليص الجمركي.
- خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في مجال ذي صلة.
- الفهم الجيد والمعرفة بإجراءات التخليص الجمركي والقوانين واللوائح.
- قادرة على زيارة السفن في البحر.
- القدرة على العمل في ساعات عمل مرنة.
- مهارات إدارة الوقت – مهارات تنظيمية وإدارة الوقت متميزة.
- مهارات الاتصال: اللغة الإنجليزية والعربية الجيدة (إلزامية) كتابةً وتحدثًا.
