Job Description:
- As a Draftsman, your primary responsibility will be to create detailed technical drawings for our commercial construction projects using computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD. These drawings will serve as crucial tools for our project team, providing accurate and comprehensive information, including building schedules, foundation plans, and material specifications. You will collaborate with engineers and architects to incorporate their notes and recommendations into the drawings. The ideal candidate for this role will have a bachelor's degree in drafting or engineering, proficiency in computer-aided design software, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Utilize computer-aided design software to create both 3D and 2D technical drawings.
Incorporate changes and modifications to the technical drafts based on feedback from project engineers and architects.
Calculate dimensions and material requirements accurately to ensure precise representations in the drawings.
Outline the construction process and sequence of the project within the technical drawings.
Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to incorporate their design and structural requirements into the drawings.
Ensure that the technical drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Review and revise drawings as necessary to maintain accuracy and completeness.
Communicate effectively with the project team to address any questions or concerns related to the drawings.
Requirements:
Associate or bachelor's degree in drafting, engineering, or a relevant field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with AutoCAD software.
Strong mathematical skills to accurately calculate dimensions and material requirements.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure precision in the drawings.
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges and incorporate modifications.
Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
