ABOUT PREVAIL

• Prevail is a new foundation dedicated to catalyzing large-scale social change by supporting private philanthropists and field implementers to pursue more ambitious and impactful goals. We raise capital from ultra high-net worth individuals (UHNWI) to fund specific initiatives for 10-12 years. Rather than diversifying across multiple causes, we prioritize deep, strategic investments in proven solutions with the potential to reshape global norms. For example, our first fund aims to improve foundational education for over 25 million children across 10 national governments in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
• Prevail provides patient capital to implementers – primarily in the form of grants that grow over time as our partner organizations scale. In addition to funding, Prevail also offers a suite of systems and talent development services designed to address common growth barriers and prepare partner organizations for accelerated scale.

Our co-founding board members have a track record of scaling social enterprises that together employ more than 12,000 staff and manage annual budgets exceeding $500 million. ABOUT THE ROLE

1. Prevail seeks to move significantly greater funding into social change globally. The Senior Associate will play a key role in supporting fundraising and donor stewardship by working closely with the Senior Manager – Philanthropy, and coordinating with the rest of the Prevail team, our partner organizations, and external service providers. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to be part of a new, small team that is ultimately seeking to reshape how global philanthropy works – working closely with some of the world’s most successful social entrepreneurs.
2. Produce high-quality research, donor materials, and comms assets 
3. Research: Conduct detailed research on prospective donors, funding opportunities, and other topics as and when needed. Proactively stay informed of philanthropy trends and donor news that may impact Prevail’s funding
4. Donor materials. Work with the Senior Manager to draft high-quality memos, reports, and emails for donors and prospective donors. Use PowerPoint, Canva, and other tools to create compelling presentations, pitch decks, and other donor materials
5. Comms assets: Work with photographers and videographers to produce inspiring stories, photos, and videos of the people we serve
6. Maintain and build internal systems
7. Fundraising: Help maintaining and growing our fundraising pipeline, by proactively researching and qualifying potential donors
8. Donor stewardship and reporting: Help maintaining a donor stewardship calendar to ensure regular engagement with all donors throughout the year. Ensure we comply with all reporting and other grant requirements
9. Systems maintenance and building: Maintain and continuously improve our internal fundraising and donor stewardship systems
10. Additional support
11. Partner support: Work with the Senior Manager to support our partner organizations in building capacity in fundraising and donor stewardship
12. Service providers: Maintain a database of fundraising consultants, photo/videographers and designers, to ramp up capacity as needed
13. Conference calendar: Maintain a calendar of conferences and events that may be useful for fundraising and network development

• Work experience. You have 1-3 years of relevant experience (ideally in management consulting) and are interested to learn more about philanthropy. Experience in the development space is an asset but not required.
